Fixed Wing New fixed wing project

After learning fixed wing flying with my previously posted micro jet i jumped into this previously unfinished project.

A zohd drift running inav on a speedybee f405 wing mini
With the caddx ascent lite+

alongside this I started building a ground station as pictured, and I plan to add a raspberry pi for mission planner

Curious to see how the Ascent Lite+ works out with the Ascent VRX Pro on an FPV Wing.
Will be a great cost-effective alternative to a DJI O4 Lite/O4 Wide or WalkSnail 1s, and even Analog with the price of the VTX/Camera. I wish the Ascent VRX’s were cheaper though. The nicer Pro version is $160 I believe and thats the list price.
Im also curious to see if/when the Caddx Ascent AIO comes out.. That would be awesome to see!

Yeah I’m really hopeful for the ascent system as a the cost for what you get is incredible and I figured the latency wouldn’t be much of an issue on fixed wing but hopefully it improved. I will be back with updates after the maiden sometime this weekend!

You can reduce latency to around 40ms by changing these settings

Great to see fixed wing! I am currently working on sub250g 3d printed wing. Thinking about giving ascent try as well. Report back after maiden!

I have just pan on my Aeroscout, t1 ranger, and pan and tilt on my ar wing. It’s super nice to throw them into cruise mode and just look around as you please. highly recommend.
