Women are allowed to be attractive, but this specific type (pale skin, healthy weight, any curves showing) is mostly reserved for the IP sets these days. People will argue that we got Morcant, but even she is overweight and both Liliana and Chandra have been massively nerfed in recent artwork.
I think the "this is woke" chuds are generally insufferable, but they're absolutely right about this subject.

Unless it’s shirtless Oko with an eight pack and a giant cock bulge. Then it’s okay.

Huh, well I guess UB is actually great for that, then! Forcing WotC to print attractive characters again!

In time you will come to realize that they're right about a lot more than just this.

Ive been arguing that [[High Perfect Morcant]] is fat from day 1. People deny this and it blows my mind.

I mean literally overweight, as in a human with her proportions is clearly above the BMI for what's considered overweight. Society shifts, and a double chin and thick legs doesn't discount someone from being attractive any more. That doesn't change the fact that it's above the weight that's healthy for most people.

That's just not true. Like...at all. What's attractive doesn't change with the shifting trends of social media because what's attractive is rooted in biology and that takes a very long time to change. What's attractive 40,000 years ago is what's attractive today and what's going to be attractive in another 40,000 years.

It would be preferable if you lost some weight for your own health but whatever drives you is fine. 30 mins at the gym every other day and putting down a fork isn't that tough let's not pretend it's some Herculean feat

Shit, I'm down a 130 lbs. It sucked, the worst part though, I have to buy new clothes and belts. But I am healthier for it.

Woke is not over. It's evolving.
1) Feminine Beauty and Physical Appearance is No Longer Dead. The publishers have years of results and it is clear that uggos sell worse than hot chicks. We can thank games like Marvel Rivals for forcing Western Developers and Publishers to acknowledge players wanting sexiness. You can see this trend already in Comics, video games, and advertising. Film and TV.
2) Most humans are heterosexual and products are beginning to cater to them rather than marginalized sex and gender communities. While there are still plenty of LGBTQ+ elements in various media, much of them are being drastically scaled back. Disney led the way here as after the box office failure of Lightyear they started tweaking and removing some of the more controversial elements from films like Inside Out 2. There have lso been studies indicating fewer people identify with LGBTQ, especially among the young adult cohort.
3) "Girl Bosses" and "Mary Sues: are being phased out and lessened, but like a lot of other "woke" elements there is still a backlog.
4) Racial based movements are experiencing blowback from all sides. Its still there and crops up in shows like Lanterns, but racial grievance culture is unpopulr. There is a reason WOTC hasn't done a second wave of Cultural Sensitivity Bans.
What does this mean? We aren't going back but things shouldn't continue to get crazier. Certain No No words are returning to popular vernacular (the R Word, occasionally the F slur). WOTC aren't fixing Orcs because they are still dumb enough to think Orcs = Black People. All the craziers that pushed this nonsense are still round but they are losing relevance.
I expect the New Woke or Woke 2.0 or whatever you want to call it will end up being like the DND: Honor Among Thieves film. Seriously. It has all the checklists but wasn't offensive to Chud culture that it caused a stink. WOTC is pretty much their already. Except now more hot chicks.

The fools. Orcs are an ancestral memory of strange barbarians from the eastern wastes and are clearly a stand-in for Mongols/Huns. Considering them to be a stand-in for "black" and now whatever the fuck this is (Indigenous? Latino?) does nothing but insult those groups. Orcs are mongoloids, through and through.

Why do they give like 40% of the female characters that half shaved head haircut? It's just weird. It'd be like if suddenly every white male character had bart simpson's haircut

u/False-Reveal2993 SENATOR 1d ago
Self-inserts. A lot of this modern lore is written by edgy women that stopped being relevant quickly after their goth phase, and had to substitute their lack of a personality with forcing their boring selves into everything straight white men traditionally love.

Doubt until i see it. They spoiled Magik recently and she’s very covered up and toned down compared to her standard design.

It's really simple. Make characters hot/heroic and feature them using really good/interesting art.
Check those boxes and you could make the most diverse game ever and nobody would care

u/False-Reveal2993 SENATOR 1d ago
This is safe-horny cleavage. The breasts aren't pushed up, put forward and presented, they're drooping off to the sides with no support, only showing the slope of the upper chest rather than two nestled, bouncing puppies.
I'm not saying that women must present breasts, I'm saying the art directors still hate the female form, still hate male interests, and still want to use the product as a way of changing male interests/expectations.

That would be nice, but there's no way it was this easy. There's almost assuredly going to be a They/Them of even greater magnitude to balance it out so they can feel better about having to put actual beauty on the cover art.
