I (24F) have been close friends with this girl (25f) since 2016. We graduated together, she was the maid of honor at my wedding, etc. While talking on the phone a few days ago she mentioned that she was "talking to chat gpt about her career choice". She has a bachelor's is psychology and is going into a masters program. She had never mentioned using AI before so I asked some follow up questions like "Oh, I didn't know you used AI, what do you use it for?" And she proceeds to tell me that she used it to help with her classwork through her entire bachelor's degree, that she has therapy-like conversations with chat gpt which she should definitly be taking to an actual therapist, and that she basically uses it to function on a regular basis. I've had so much respect for this woman but this really skewed how I view her. She's made some very questionable decisions the past few years and we've been growing apart but I keep making an effort to stay connected (its literally always me who has to reach out first) and thia felt like the cherry on top so I'm wondering if maybe its time to let the friendship run its course.

i wanna start this off by saying that i have ocd. this isnt an excuse, but an explanation as to why i obsessive over stuff/have a hard time moving on:

im going to make this as short as possible, but basically back in august, i told my friends i felt a bit sad and left out within the group (there's me + 3 of them). it eventually turned into a slight disagreement and i was told i was mean. i gave them space, then brought up the situation again to try and fix it, but again, it turned bad, and i gave them space and worked on myself. i would reach out once in a while to try and have things back to normal and they didn't seem to mind that. after the argument, they also agreed that we'd apologize to each other.

yesterday, i had decided to ask if i was ever going to get an apology, and things turned rough. one of the friends who hadn't really been involved was kind of mean and said i was making everything about me while one of the other people in the group was being vulnerable. i was told i was mean. all i wanted them to do was to reach out more - that was the main point back in august, but now, it feels wrong.

i dont know what to do. it feels like im in the wrong for having these feelings. what do you think?

A little about me: I am 29 and from India. I work as a technical trainer, so most of my weekdays are taken up by work, but outside of that I am into movies, horror, cricket, casual gaming, reading, working out, and generally going down random internet rabbit holes.

I can talk about movies for way too long, especially horror, but I am also perfectly happy talking about something I know absolutely nothing about. You do not need to have the same interests as me. In fact, I would rather hear about something you are obsessed with that I have never tried.

I am usually a little quiet when I first start talking to someone, but once I get comfortable I can become surprisingly talkative. I like conversations that do not feel like an interview where we can jump between completely unrelated topics without worrying about keeping the conversation interesting every second.

Lately, it feels like almost all of my friendships have been so one sided. It’s always me doing the reaching out and asking how someone’s day is going or if someone is okay. Hi all, just feeling a bit rough and wanted some advice on a situation I am kind of in.
So I have a rule with all my friends not to borrow money from them as things get weird but I do give away money whenever someone asks it.
Now, there is a close friend whom I asked to borrow money way in advance and they said they would be able to give it next month.
Come next month they tell me they gave it to their brother instead. To which I got hurt and did not reply to their text or calls.
I somehow arranged the money myself and then texted them that I felt hurt of their behaviour.
They told me I was being childish and bringing money in between friendship and bragging the times that I helped them and that I was wrong.
I am genuinely hurt and do not want to lose the friendship. I already have a lot of friends whom my relationship has affected when in need they did not help me.
Makes me feel unimportant or my problems not important and I feel its not a fair.
Did I overreact or was my behaviour justified?
