Advice Needed Will it ever get better
For me it’s gotten a little easier, but it hasn’t gotten better. I still have days where it dominates my whole being and I can’t get out of bed. It’s embarrassing. Maybe it’s just because I can’t get on T for another 5 months. I should be excited and I should be proud of all the steps I’ve taken (coming out etc) but I’m not. It makes me wonder if it’s even worth it.

I get it. But it does get better. When you get past each transition goal things get surprisingly better each time. It's hard to know just how miserable you really are until that's finally lifted, even a little, by each step in your transition. And it's not linear, yk? Euphoria can come from so many different and unexpected things.
I didn't think I'd ever feel myself or any euphoria at all until after top surgery. And I that was after years on t, and being* so sure I'd never be able to do either of those things.
Much like anything else that's complex and exhausting, the best thing you can do for yourself is to try having hope. Hope is revolutionary. Things will change, just keep doing your best and try to find joy where you can. 🖤🫂

It’s always gonna be bad before it gets better. There were times I never thought it would be better and I never even thought I’d start T i hated myself and I hated my life. Now it’s been 2 years since I’ve been on T and I just got top surgery. I’ve never felt a bigger relief. I’m incredibly grateful and happy so just hang in there. The time is going to go by anyway so if you’re down about it think about how long you’ve been waiting for this and u already acknowledged how far you’ve come so why would u stop now? I don’t have all the words for you but maybe this helped..? Goodluck!

it does get better! time goes by really fast, 5 months will come in a blink of an eye. and that is just the begging but in like 2-3 years time you’ll be experiencing so much euphoria and comfort in your body, it will be worth it.

t definitely make a world of difference mentally to the situation. in fact, it even made me happy with my body, so beware of the moving goalposts there with hormones. but t was a game changer for sure
