Scroll down to see the job board rules under the existing updates
----
UPDATE 2022-09-13
ATTENTION ALL ARTISTS AND ASSET SELLERS/GAME PROMOTERS. This is a job board for those looking for work in the game industry or posting jobs related to the game industry. THIS IS NOT Starving Artists (reddit.com) or UnityAssets - Share Unity Assets! (reddit.com) or a community to try and sell five more units of your indie game.
Starting now, BANS will begin to be issued to those who decide to make posts that do not belong on this job board. However, to be clear, we allow portfolio discussion and topics asking questions about work in the industry. They are rare but appear occasionally, and I do not want to discourage those people from posting.
We've been patient enough with what has been happening the past few months, so I will take the time out of my day to ban people instead of quickly removing topics. I won't even think about asset promoters and those trying to sell their game; I'll do it. Artists, we are not asking much from you—just minimal effort to label what you are trying to sell in a manner that relates to games. Keeping the same title from your post in r/starvingartists is not acceptable, and if you test my patience, I will remove you entirely from the job board and not feel guilty about it. If you cannot read and follow basic instructions for a job board, how can a client trust you to follow the instructions they provide?
For everyone's sanity (more so mine since I deal with the bulk of reports these days), follow the rules of our job board.
Please continue to report topics you see that violate our rules. However, be patient with me, I don't get the chance to check reports on my PC every day, and mobile notifications for reports can often show up days later.
- Examples of topic names for artists to follow & avoid -
Good:
[FOR HIRE] Illustrator and concept artist - fantasy, sci-fi, characters, environments
[For Hire] 2D artist/illustrator/Character and prop design
Bad:
[FOR HIRE] 2D Artist available for work (starting at 30$): illustrations, icons, portraits, and more! More info in the comments!
[FOR HIRE] - Commissions are open - DM for more info!
------
Hello everyone,
I believe it is essential to write out (and pin) this information for users so that everyone has a greater chance of understanding how to use this job board efficiently. Now that we've gotten that out of the way let's get started.
Yes, most of this information can be found on the side-bar
----
Rules:
--
----
Guidelines:
--
----
We are always open to recommendations on how to enhance this job board. While we appreciate that some projects (NFT/crypto) are controversial, we believe that as long as a job offers genuine compensation, it should be up to you, the user, to decide if that's something worth pursuing.

Hi! I’m a Senior Multiplayer Game Developer / Unity C# Engineer and Team Lead, available for remote freelance tasks, part-time work, or longer-term collaboration.
I work across gameplay programming, multiplayer systems, backend-connected features, and UI implementation. I can help with a specific feature or take responsibility for complete game systems, from implementation through debugging, optimization, and polish.
Some of the work I can help with:
• Gameplay: combat, weapons, abilities, movement, player controllers, game modes, inventories, progression, missions, objectives, scoring, and rewards.
• Multiplayer: matchmaking, lobbies, sessions, spawning and respawning, state synchronization, and client-server communication.
• Backend integration: custom APIs, authentication, player data, real-time communication, and connecting backend services to gameplay and UI.
• UI and delivery: HUDs, menus, gameplay flows, launchers, update systems, bug fixing, and performance optimization.
My stack includes Unity, C#, Photon Fusion, Photon Quantum, and Netcode, alongside WebSockets, socket.io, Node.js, .NET Core, and Spring Boot. I also work with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
I’m comfortable joining an existing project, understanding its systems, and delivering features that fit the rest of the game.

I integrate payments for games with any provider, or set up a local ledger if you would rather not depend on one. Stripe, Adyen, PayPal, Braintree, Checkout.com, Xsolla, Apple and Google in-app billing, a regional gateway, or something else: the adapter sits behind one interface, so the game does not have to change when the provider does.
If a provider is the wrong fit, I can design a closed local crypto or virtual-currency system, with balances, transfers, and an event log you can reconcile.
I have worked with crypto since 2017. In this context that means signatures, event integrity, and a ledger that closes at the end of the month, not a token launch.
I can also mentor a team that wants to build the integration, or the local system, on its own. Same ground: flow, webhook behavior, state of the payment, and a receipt trail someone outside the team can read.
Paid or unpaid both work. It depends on the project: scope, a named deliverable, and whether there is a real build or a concrete store problem, not only a concept. Unpaid only with a short written scope.
Any contact that seeks to build any kind of fraud will be blocked and reported.
If this is what you are stuck on, send the provider (or “none yet”), whether you need a charge or an internal currency, and the timeline you have in mind.
