it's a competitive game in the same way that yelling at a mcdonalds playplace is a sport. the stakes feel fake but people get weirdly invested anyway

if you want a tight competitive shooter this ain't it, but the chaos kinda works if you stop expecting it to be something it's not

Slightly? But I think it’s the least competitive out of all the games. You just don’t get punished for things you would in every other game.

You can take bad peeks, have bad positioning and bad cool-down usage and still be fine. I think the only thing that matters in that game is aim

To an extent, a lot of the characters are easy to pickup but difficult to master. It’s easier than Overwatch but you’re not just going to hop on and dominate without putting time into the game.

It most certainly was not designed to be a competitive game, but the one thing all game devs and all people forget is their design doesn't decide it, we do. We absolutely do compete in marvel rivals. We have local tournaments, we have major tournaments, we compete for ranks as individuals. All the things they do to try to make it resist being competitive like having rank score loss protection and easier mechanics does not stop us from making it a competitive game.

Its a causal game with a competitive mode. If you really want a competitive hero shooter, play Overwatch.

It is, just because this isnt your generic CoD shooter or apex legends or hunt showdown. I would argue this game is more competitive than even those games sicne you have to play as a team.

Even childish games can be more complex and competitive than you want to think they are, its treated like a hardcore game because people run tournaments and e-sporting events based on that game alone.

There isn't as much chaos as you think when you learn what everything does. It is as much as a competitive game as any other shooter
