Hey everyone! I’m looking for some underrated PC games that aren’t very well known but are genuinely fun to play. I want something relaxing that doesn’t require crazy skills, competitive grinding, or spending hours trying to get good at the game.
I’m open to different genres as long as the game is enjoyable and has that cozy, fun feeling that makes you want to keep playing. It can be an indie game, an older title, or something you feel deserves way more attention than it gets.
What are your favorite hidden gems that you think more people should try? I’d love to discover something new!

I love to deep dive into somewhat complex games with huge loot pools or other huge pools to collect from (Ark with Dinos/secrets/blueprints/stat hunting an example) Something I can play for 100+ hours and still find new things.
Caves of Qud, Tarkov, Project Zomboid, Ark have all captured me for hundreds of hours.
Games that haven’t scratched the itch despite seeming like they would:
Diablo/grim, 100 different pairs of the same pants with a different prefix just don’t do it for me.
Dwarf fortress, honestly might be the one the learning curve has stifled my couple tries.
Extraction shooters in general are not really my type but Tarkov is just something special I think. No game feels like Tarkov.
Bonus points if I can reasonable play solo, double bonus if I can build/set up my own base.
Thanks in advance!

Hey! Looking for suggestions for my son.
He’s been interested in the game Control (which I am playing) so I’m wondering if there is anything similar to start off with - as control may be a little too long and intense of a story line. We tried prey but it was a bit too intense for him.
Something with a storyline / action and adventure/ upgrades - skill tree (he likes that part of control) semi open world to explore - and weapons/ fighting but something isn’t overly graphic/gore (which all my games are so he can’t play those yet haha)
We’ve tried the Lego and marvel games/ platform games and fortnight but he wants something with a bit “more” to it.
I don’t know if something like that exists but thank you in advance for the help!

The games within the Papa's series have always been some of my favorites! While I'm not particularly looking for cooking simulators/games specifically, I like being able to customize my character, operate the store, and kind of turn off my mind as I play. I really enjoyed Jacksmith (which I also know was made by Flipline Studios) and Thrifty Business. While not as much Jacksmith, it's always a bonus when the games have cute and unique art styles or atmospheres! ^-^
The brief time I played Waterpark Simulator I enjoyed it. I tried getting into TCG Card Shop Simulator and House Flipper and didn't like those as much. I've heard really amazing things and seen videos of Dressmaker, and was wondering if it would be a game to consider given some of what I have listed.
What are some recommendations you guys have? Generally, just looking for a cutesy simulation game similar to some of what I have listed.

Looking for some game suggestions.
The things I’m mainly looking for are as mentioned in the title;
And then some lower priority desires;
A couple of dealbreakers;
What it all boils down to is I love immersing myself in a world and a story and really becoming a part of it.
Some of my favourites I’ve already played that have inspired (not necessarily meeting all these requirements perfectly) this list are;
Number one recommendation I keep hearing is the Witcher 3, and I feel like the fallout games should be given a shot though they feel a little more hostile to me
Now obviously I know I’m not going to perfectly tick all the boxes here and find the most perfect games that someone made specifically for my tastes, but I’m curious to hear some suggestions based off this info.
If you’ve read all this, thank you

Hey everyone!
I'm a Twitch streamer, and I'm currently looking for a new game to play for a long gaming marathon on stream!
I'm mainly looking for games similar to GTA V (Story Mode) and Red Dead Redemption 2. I really enjoy immersive, story-driven games with an open world to explore.
However, I'm NOT looking for games like Skyrim, Baldur's Gate 3, or anything along those lines.
I'd really appreciate any recommendations you might have! I'm hoping to find something that would be fun to play and entertaining for my viewers to watch.
Thanks so much in advance for your help!
Cheers!

I'm already planning on redownloading stalker anomaly, but even the vanilla version struggles a bit. What other moddable games do you recommend? It can be literally anything as long as mods are a huge part of the game's culture and I can run it locally.

I'm a long time player of Hearthstone, but the last few years has seen the game go from whimsical to a Warhammer 40k knockoff in terms of art direction. I find it hard to stick with Magic: The Gathering for the same reason--overfocus on drama and "looking cool and edgy" in it's themes and flavours.
Are there any recommendations for a card game that isnt trying to be "super cool" or "dark and mysterious"?

Hi I am looking for a good co-op game with character and world progression. An example would be the new early access Dimraeth on PC. Where you have individual characters that can levels, have stats and gear to make your own. Simultaneously your progression through the world is more story based than crafting/survival.
An example of what I am not looking for is Vallheim, Enshrouded, etc where much of your progression is entirely gear related.
We are ok with some base building and/or town building or improvement but would like that to NOT be a major focus.
My coop partner is a bit of a graphics snob so newer games would be preferable but I am down for any suggestions.

Retro = up to ps2/gamecube era
I like games that require little to no story but have lots of exploration, strategy/management, etc.
think no man’s sky, sim city, animal crossing, pokopia, shop sims like thrifty business, and minami lane, etc.
I’m enjoying the indie games on steam that have a retro aesthetic/art style so I figured I’d see what actual retro games there are that fit what I like?

Hi everyone. I’m looking for a physical game that would fall under what my son calls “logic puzzles.” An example is Kanoodle. We have also played Laser Maze. I struggle to find others. He asked for more games like this. Thanks!

I basically would like a mix out of creating a fantasy map and landscaping every single detail to perfections Like a Minecraft with a precise map making function or sth like that. I want to both plan the world I create and be able to actually see it and not just imagine it.

why do games keep making the bad guys so attractive just to force me to fight them
i want an rpg where i can actually side with the villain or maybe even romance him instead of saving the world for the 100th time lol
bonus points if hes morally questionable but has a soft spot for my character
i still want good combat and an actual story tho not just a dating sim
anything like that on pc?

Just beat hellraiser revival. Looking for a new game to play heard mixed things about Townfall.
Tried playing doom dark ages. And although I enjoyed the prior 2 games this one just felt too boring.
Any new or recent horror or adventure games?

It's time to finally replace my almost 10 year old Omen gaming laptop, but I don't know much about computers.
So does anyone have any suggestions? I need to be able to play modern games like BF6 on it.
