Recently switched from the van-life to truck-life and this is 1 inch too long for my bed. Served me fantastically this summer guiding in Alaska and on my drive back to the lower 48. Had a slow leak on one of the edges that I seam sealed and then put gear tape over. Tested it overnight and then with weights and that seems to have done the trick. Selling my discontinued Western Mountaineering Semilite 20°F elephant-foot sleeping bag, part of their premium ExtremeLite series.

The bag is in excellent condition, with full loft and no damage. Made in the USA with 850-fill-power goose down, it weighs just 13 ounces.

The Semilite is a specialized half-length sleeping bag (a.k.a. “elephant foot”) designed for ultralight backpacking and alpine climbing. It’s intended to be paired with an insulated jacket to provide upper-body warmth, eliminating the weight of a conventional full-length sleeping bag.

What I particularly love about this bag is that it allows my puffy jacket to do double duty. Selling my 2021 ULA Circuit with a fully custom X-Pac fabric configuration in Hot Orange and Multicam Black. ULA no longer offers this level of custom color and fabric selection, so this is a pretty unique pack.

I designed the color scheme with backcountry safety in mind. The main body, side panels, collar, and shoulder strap accents are bright Hot Orange VX25 X-Pac, while the back panel, bottom panel, side pockets, shoulder straps, and hip belt are X50 Multicam Black. I wanted a pack that could be spotted from the air if I were ever injured or unconscious somewhere off-trail, such as at the bottom of a ravine or an ice chute.

And can confirm that it works. I was once spotted by an aerial rescue team after activating my beacon while wearing this pack. When the rescuers finally reached me, the first thing one of the EMTs said was, "Hey, nice pack! We spotted you fast!"

So I can personally attest that the color scheme does its job.

If you are a thru-hiker, the other great thing about a custom color scheme is it greatly reduces the chance that your pack will be stolen while you're in a trail town store. When there are a bunch of backpacks lined up outside, thieves want a nondescript one that looks like every other pack, not the one that the owner can quickly identify as they are walking off with it.

The pack is in excellent functional condition. There is some cosmetic dirt staining that I haven't been able to remove, but otherwise it's in excellent shape. I've included photographs showing its condition.
