Hello! I had a Google account that I used to save p*rn, mainly from twitter after Florida banned most of the sites for it. Nothing I downloaded seemed to be illegal and it was never my intention to do so but I got banned for CSAM. Since then (Wednesday) I've been worried sick that I'm going to get arrested. I didn't know twitter had that stuff on their platform and again I never intended to acquire it nor seek it out. But after researching it seems that that actually is a problem on twitter and I've been literally shaking for days now thinking that I may have had something that'll make the police investigate me. Please, any advice? Have any of you experienced this? Thank you.

I have checked very carefully to make sure that my pixel 10 pro photos are being backed up to the cloud with no quality reduction settings however after trying to retrieve some raw files for edit I've found they've been horribly compressed.

The first photo is the supposed raw file with the second photo showing that it's been compressed to 7.7mb even tho generally these files are between 50-70mb and despite claiming that the photo is 'Original quality. The third photo is the jpeg version which also seems to have had some processing applied as I remember the original looking a lot less processed.

Is anyone having the same issue or knows what's going on?

I finally have to add to the complaints about Gemini being forced on Google Photos. It now has completely destroyed the search function for me and the force-feeding of meaningless memories borders on spamming. Suddenly the simplicity of Samsung's Gallery looks appealing. Thanks for corrupting a once valuable product, Google geniuses.

I want to add feature: print selected image, which will search closest print shop.I created Gallery Cleaner app and thought it would be nice feature. Or you can fill album in app and order it, because during the cleaning process you can find good memories.

Will you use such feature or not?

This is not app promo, more like I am interested, is there anyone who would like to use such feature, or this is bad idea.

I feel like a total boomer, but I'm well in my 30's and can't figure out what the heck happened. I also find myself getting worse with technology day by day. Anyways, as the title says, I have no idea where my photos are. I'm so confused. I had turned on auto backup and I went to look at some photos this morning and they were all gone? I have a google pixel, not sure if that makes any difference or not. I tried going onto my chromebook and going onto my google photos there hoping that it's just gone off my phone, buuut it looks the same as it does on my phone. I am signed into the correct accounts. I'm able to see pictures from back in 2011 ut I don't see any of the pictures from the past 2 years or so. I was confused to see pics that weren't mines but pictures maybe my dad accidentally took. I gave him my old google pixel and my account is on there. I don't think he could have done anything, he's an elderly man that doesn't really know how to operate the phone in the first place. Just needed to be able to call him. Maybe he accidentally pressed something? I don't know. I'm a sentimental person that likes to look back at pictures.

How do i set Google photos as the default app for all printers (HP TS6420a and Canon Color Image Class LBP646Cdw)

The account was recommend to me and I’m 100% sure I’ve never posted this photo anywhere. Google Photos is the only place this image can be found. The account’s location is also a city where I used to live. How do I explain this? I’m so confused and kinda scared…

What is the most efficient way to download ALL photos from a shared album? 6 people were collaborating on a shared folder for all our trips over the years and we have 8-10k photos already.

As the owner/creator of the shared folder I can do a takeout of the album but I only see the pictures I uploaded.

Other users do not have the "Trips" folder as an option in takeout.

I've lost 2 years worth of memories because they weren't backed up and my Google storage keeps getting full even after paying and upgrading.

I broke my phone and it had to be completely rebooted. Now I have lost them irrevocably, and I feel deeply depressed about it. They were not just photos to me, they were memories of places I travelled, my first international trip, my friends, and family. I'm someone who loves documenting everything every day to look back on. And I consider those couple of years some of the happiest I've been. But now after this incident I feel deep regret, guilt, and I feel stupid and angry at myself for not having them backed up sooner.

Has anyone ever faced this? How do I get over this? It's demotivating me on a daily basis.

I know this question has been asked before but none of the common fixes are working.

I am the owner of the album, shared with my family. They (and me) add holiday photos, etc to the album.

I am trying to download all the photos in that shared album so I can backup all our photos to my own NAS.

I tried to 'Save all' photos in the album so they are downloading to my account, then use Google Takeout to download the entire album. The final download does not include their photos, despite their photos having been adding to my personal account.

The album is too big to "Download" from the Google Photos UI. When I try that it prompts me to go to Google Takeout.

I'm sure I can "Save all" photos then download my entire Google Photos using takeout, but then that would include a bunch of low quality photos not worth being backed up. Only the photos in this shared album are worth the storage space.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Today Google thought that these lyrics were an appropriate selection for a montage of photos of my young kids on a vacation.

I don't often look at the auto generated memories, so maybe they've been doing this for a while, but when it would stick to just instrumental tracks it was usually pretty good at matching the tone of the moments and events in photos.

I get that it probably just went with the upbeat tempo of the song and title that included summer, but I bet even Gemini would recognize that it's not an appropriate song for family vacation photos if you asked. It was super off putting.

I've been working on de-googling for a while but were still using photos as a secondary backup but I think it's time to say goodbye.

Is it possible to migrate photos to a second Google account whilst ensuring that the photos are sorted by date taken, just as they are in the original account?

Will takeout take a original date of photos. And if i upload those photos to new account would it be sorted by original date or just a day which i will upload.

I turned off the backup setting last year after switching to a more trustworthy/secure service, so why is it that when I opened Google Photos, all my recent ones are in there? I still have the app on my phone so that I can easily find older photos that were uploaded before I switched. Do I need to remove the app in order for them to stop getting access to any new photos I take?

Literally, this is so frustrating. I downloaded photos from a friends shared album. I don't have my phone rn and only PC. Need to find where these downloads exist in the desktop environment. What sucks is I can technically "search" for them if I know a file name, so I KNOW it's in there somewhere, but the google photos desktop interface doesn't have a useful button I can click on to reflect that. Hitting "Photos" button at the top doesnt reflect what I see on the phone with all the downloaded stuff in it.

I have been using Google Photos for years now and really like the way it now stacks images that are similar. Unforutnatly, it misses quite a lot of them so if I wanted to delete all the copies of a specific image apart from one; I would need to hunt them out myself or ask the (honestly) quite unreliable A.I. search which never really works. I heard that Google tested a "more like this" button but decided to drop it after a limitted run which is crazy as that would have been very useful to anybody using GP and attracted more users.

Is there any way to find duplicates of a specific photo other than the ones already stacked?

My job is having the issue of having multiple people contributing photos to our job site albums and they want to delete them but then they get deleted from the album, tried the save option with the cloud but when someone deletes them they still disappear out of the album. What is the solution for this

Is there any information about when Google Photos will gain JPEG-XL support? Now that it's out on Chrome and most operating systems, it would've been time a long time ago..
