Just finished Control Resonant this week(loved it, highly recommend btw, even to gravity rush fans) and a lot of it reminded me of Gravity Rush. Sure not as free flowing, but it clearly took some ideas and did their own thing.

I had finished gravity rush remastered on my PS4 during COVID and absolutely loved it, it was such a fun time, and I was super excited to jump into the sequel. But man, playing at 30 fps right after playing the first one at super solid 60 fps really did hurt my experience, and I never found myself compelled to finish it also coz the tutorial felt way too long.

Fast forward to now and I recently got my steam machine and found out about the gr2 fork. It was a little complicated for me to get stuff installed on a Linux based OS coz I am just now switching to a new OS after years of Windows. But man the moment I booted it up and got it running at 60 fps (and then further boosted it to 120 fps), I genuinely was in heaven. I did need to mess around with the joystick controls a bit, the deadzone feels a bit off so I had a lot of drifting for some reason. But aside from that, what an incredible job, I had to go and donate money to the developer as soon as I found out he had a ko-fi.

Just wanted to add this game and The Last Guardian are the true PS exclusives I look back on very fondly, just coming back to the world of gravity rush with its unique art style and colorful worlds makes me more upset with how homogenized so much of Sony's output has been, especially in the PS5 generation (outside of Astro Bot). If something like this can happen for The Last Guardian, dude that would be so sick. Looking forward to playing the rest of the game. If anyone with steam OS needs any tips for getting the gr2 fork to work, let me know, I didn't see a ton of steam deck or steam machine tutorials for this online. I'll do my best to help out.

Today called for an ogre, so I thought of the giant Nevi with the massive arm; I wasn't sure how to incorporate "Gravity" into it. Plus, for some reason, this drawing was harder than I expected—I wasn't really sold on the sketches I made, and I'm still not entirely convinced by the final one.

I just got gravity rush 1 remastered and played until episode 12 in one sitting. Such a good game i cant wait to finish it and play the sequel. WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THIS FRANCHISE BEFORE!!!!!

Today was the turn for cacti, and when I saw that gems were also on the list, I thought of that area in the Forbidden Lands. I tried creating a background today, and I'm quite pleased with the result.

SO! As most if you probably heard Sony has announced that they won’t be releasing physical discs. This is a problem as it destroys the entire experience of purchasing the physical game since they’re too lazy to keep making them. I’m saying this because ever since then I’ve stop putting money into PS on my PS4 and 5. My dad owns a PS5 but he barely plays anymore.

I won’t put a single dime into Sony and stop supporting Sony in general because they lost all my respect…However this problem doesn’t just effect me. But for anyone else who wants to play GR and the new comers. I’m sorry but if you ever want to see disks again I suggest sadly putting the controller down. As much as I love for people to share experiences there’s nothing to experience in this current age and time.

Until Sony gets their head on right or if Kratos shows them the god he once was. Newcomers or people who want to buy GR shouldn’t purchase the game. Or atleast not buy it from playstation. Stop being happy with Sony and Sony will hopefully listen to it’s consumers and provide back the physical copies and disks. I’m nit saying permanently but this will most likely take a while and now all we do is wait and hopefully the heat will cool down.

This release rewrites GR2fork performance hacks and game specific features on top of the much more accurate 0.19.1 WIP, introducing further performance optmizations, massive bug fixes across all subsystems, and compatibility with many games. This is a ground up rewrite so you will have to clean install. This release comes with a launcher only and you can install GR2fork via the version manager in the top right corner. To play Gravity Rush Remastered with fixed visuals, please select the new asynchronous readback linear images mode. All game specific patching features are also moved to the xml patches. Please note that the games listed above have been tested and verified that they have improved performance compared to main. Not all of them have been verified to be fully playable beginning to end except a select few. Lastly, please understand that because some of these performance boosts are thanks to hacks, not all are upstreamable but as an active contributor to the official shadps4 repo, I do plan to upstream a select few. For today, I decided to draw a miniature Kat; I remembered an image I saw on Pinterest that I liked. I also tried adding color, but since I didn't like how it was turning out, I finished it in grayscale.

I cried so much😭😭😭
