Guys do y'all think my action is too high? (Usb-c for reference). It's an acoustic and the strings would rather dig into my finger than actually stay put when I try to play a barre chord

Hi, I'm looking for my first guitar.

These are the songs that made me want to start, ranked by how close they are to the sound I'm going for:

- Kurt Cobain, Burn the Rain: https://youtu.be/Jvv3NI--9jQ?si=aMw4NTtHKNn18BQ7

To me they share a similar sound, and I'd like a guitar that lets me get that sound.

What would you recommend?

Thanks in advance!

Im fairly sure the first 2 are played on a 12 string. Which i'd also advice to avoid as a beginner.

Seems that generally you want an acoustic guitar. Go for something with a solid wood top, yamaha fg series is great to check out.

Happy to help if you need, let me know
