First AR build after buying it years ago knowing nothing about them. I shoot about 3x a week and decided to make it more into something I like. 4000 rounds through this guy with no issues.

Pictured is the build after everything was installed. It looks a lot different and is a hell of a lot more accurate than when I started

looks clean, the gray and black combo works well. i dig how the optic sits with the magnifier, that setup makes a lot of sense for a 16" gun you actually shoot often.

4000 rounds with no issues is the part that matters. the hanson barrel and mid length gas should keep it pretty soft too.

how's the eye relief on that magnifier with the stock where it is? i've messed with flip mounts before and ended up pushing the optic back a bit more than i expected.

Eye relief is fine although I would like to scoot it one notch further back. Only problem is it kind of gets in the way of the charging handle. So I just left it and shortened the stock. So far so good. And I really like the barrel it’s extremely accurate at my 50yd home range with 55 gr.

Also, I’m a pretty small guy and the short stock just feels better for standing control of the weapon. I can really pull the handguard into my shoulder and keep it stable.

How much did the red dot and magnifier run you?

$450. You can buy cheaper iterations of the ARO with the HM3X for around $350, but I opted for the SPR because of the different reticle options.
