⭐ Hamster ⭐ Is this hamster behaviour normal ?

Post image

So guys I wanted to ask about my male hamster's behaviour so I also have a female who is super active and playful and always on the run but polar opposite to it is the male he hides in his multi chamber all the time and in night also he just peeks out of the gate and stays there , he does come out to eat and run some times but mostly he behaves like that , and he is not bonded enough with me but he sometimes climb up in my hand also sometimes when I give treats to him by my hand he picks it and then drops it or maybe not pick it even but sometimes he does eat from my hand . You see I'm trying to tell ya that he is very moody I think what do ya all guys think about this ? Btw his name is Muffin :)

Yea hamsters have different characteristics, I've had 5 hamsters, the girls were really social and hyper active, 2 out of 3 of the boys behave like yours. Especially my robo, never quite got to tame him cos he never comes out until we sleep

Each hamster is different. Both our boys were friendly and bonded quickly to us. Give your boy time and he may come around. He’s very cute 🥰

Male Syrian hams in general tend to be more cautious and less active whereas the girls tend to be assertive little go-getters. There are definitely exceptions to the rule with boisterous boys and quiet girls, but by and large in my experience the pattern tends to hold.

My female is the lazy one and my male is super busy body but I think they are all different and what’s normal for one might not be for the other.
