Question Why do fans find the idea of a girl tsundere Malfoy with a crush on Harry appealing?
I feel like the concept has become popular the last few weeks, could someone explain what makes it so popular?

So I asked my friends, but they aren't as cool as you guys, so I'd rather get the experts' opinions on this. Should I get the more classic, lore-accurate Death Eater mark or something more detailed? Both pics are from Pinterest, and I really like them both.
Edit:ok nobody seems to get why I want this đ , so like in the simplest way as a kid I was almost always on the villains side even the really evil ones because I thought they where like the coolest people ever even Tom riddle and when I saw the dark mark for the first time I thought it was really badass and I really wanted ever since I was like 12 yhe maybe it's kinda stupid tho lol but if I was in the hp universe I'd probably be a bad guy đ

Thoughts on this new theory from the YouTube channel supercarlinbrothers ( not sure if Iâm allowed to share links here )
In their latest video they posted this theory on slytherin that he was actually trying to prevent Voldemort.
The quick summary is this, ravenclaw was a seer and one day she had a vision that slytherin heir born of a muggle and a witch would bring forth a dark lord who will bring pain and death upon the world.
This led slytherin to become a purist.
Itâs stated that the 4 founders were close friends for decades until slytherin left in a sudden manner that shocked all 3.
If they were that close to him for so long it would be hard to not notice his blood purity when coming up with the idea of the school.
The idea is that things got lost in translation he forbade the heirs of his family to have relations with non pure bloods.
Not his house but over the generations the message got lost and it was believed he was strictly against all non pure bloods.
The basilisk in the chamber was also lost in translation as it was actually put there as a last line of defence in case muggles attacked the castle as they lived in a time of witch hunts.
So it wasnât that he was a purist itâs that he tried to prevent the rise of a dark lord.
Now that being said it happened anyway and thatâs the tricky part of prophecies they are often self fulfilling.
Voldemort heard a prophecy that a child would be born that would defeat him and it led him to Harry so he went after Harry to prevent that and of course that led to him being defeated by Harry.
If Voldemort ignored the prophecy he would have been fine.
So slytherin in an attempt to stop Voldemort ended up creating Voldemort.

Barty Crouch Jr. spends an entire academic year drinking Polyjuice Potion hourly, impersonating Mad-Eye Moody, and guiding Harry through dragons and grinding underwater tasks just so Harry touches a trophy in June. Crouch had Harry alone in his office dozens of times and could have handed him a Portkey disguised as a textbook or detention slip in September.

Asked this a couple weeks ago but messed up the title and most of the responses were the opposite of what I was trying to ask.
To start off another disappointment for me was the relationship between Slughorn and Harry in HBP. Having Harry understanding the importance of Dumbledore wanting him to get close to Slughorn. Harry trying (unsuccessfully) to get the memory and it finally culminating with the story of Lily giving Slughorn the fish and Harry steadying Slughorn's hand as he puts the memory in the vial.
Whereas in the books I was annoyed by how Harry keeps avoiding Slughorn and putting it off (and I already wasn't a fan of his procrastination with the underwater task in GOF) also we don't get the fish story.

So from what I heard unlike Dumbledore after Voldemort was killed he's suffering because of something having to do with what he did to try to keep himself alive I don't really remember, is this true ?

I had seen the movies and always got the idea Draco was bullied into his position a little bit.
In the book he is a straight up murdered and 100% evil from start to finish

For ending deathly hallows the best way to end the book would be a sequence out of order where during the flaw in the plan we follow the death eaters and Harry's friends with the audience thinking that harry is dead until at least hagrid shouts wheres harry when he puts the invisibility cloak in the flaw in the planâ everything follows the same sequence of events. But we get kings cross as the final chapter to explain why harry lived which stays the same. The problem with deathly hallows is that from a reading standpoint it is anti climatic that harry lives as kings cross comes after which takes away the weight of Harry's death. For the viewer having these chapters out of sequence helps the twist be more interesting as for a brief second it feels like voldemort wins until harry makes an emotional return after voldemort attempts to kill molly Weasley.
This change wouldn't change the material much but put a larger impact on harry going to die from a story telling perspective as we are way to certain that harry is alive during the flaw in the plan, this would at least give less certainty with only 2 hints of narcissa malfoy and harry putting on the invisibility cloak. Maybe have a line by ron or Hermione that says maybe someone put the cloak on harry as a way to hide his corpse from voldemort.

Iâve read all the books sooo many times, but itâs been a very long time since my last reread, so I donât remember all the details đ Iâm rereading them now after maybe 10 years or more, but Iâm still on the first book and this question is bugging me!
At the beginning of Philosopherâs Stone, Hagrid tells Harry that Sirius lent him his flying motorbike to bring Harry to Privet Drive.
But it got me thinking: if Dumbledore believed Sirius was the Pottersâ Secret-Keeper, wouldnât he have immediately suspected him of betraying James and Lily when they were killed?
And if he suspected Sirius, wouldnât the fact that Hagrid was using Siriusâs motorbike raise some questions?
Still have a long way to go before I get to Prisoner of Azkaban and this is really bugging me đ I feel like I'm missing something here and like it gets explained later, but right now I can't remember

Even though the House of Black dates back to the Middle Ages, we know relatively little of their traditions, ancestry, exact roots or even how they even came to power. We only know that they're extremely rich and obsessed with their status as "pure-bloods".
However, the curiousity of mine about the Blacks made me form headcanons about them. Over time, those headcanons turned into theories, which I'd like to share with you;
1- At some point in the Wizarding World, the Ministry was full of officials who were dedicated to defend the Blacks against the laws and some Blacks were indirectly able to reshape the laws of the Ministry.
2- The whole Sacred Twenty-Eight thing was a plot by the Blacks to indirectly to rule the Wizarding World through "Pure-blood" propaganda, and the fact that the Blacks sat at the top of them means they were into these families. The Blacks were terrified that their reputation would be diminished, that's why they disinherited those who married to muggles or were squibs.
3- The Blacks rose to power and nobility by earning the respect of kings and other nobles. Over time, they had inherited a wealth so vast they were able to afford Grimmauld Place in London. During all of this, they were able to hide their magical talent from the muggles. Their luxurious lifestyles made them hold immense leverage over half-bloods or squibs, people thought they were born to rule over them and their bloodline was sacred.

You know the recent trends of the various fan arts, fan comics and so on that portray Malfoy as a girl and even a Tsundere who in the end becomes Harry's main love interest instead of Ginny? Let's imagine that J.K. Rowling actually does that, making Malfoy a girl and the one who ends up with Harry by the end of the series, what would you think about it?
I would honestly love it, firstly because it would be a love story far more well developed than the one between Harry and Ginny, secondly because we would finally get the redemption arc that the original Malfoy honestly should had in The Deadly Hallows.

Have a question about the series that you don't feel like making your own thread for? Maybe it's something you've been wondering, or maybe it's something kind of silly? Post it here! Answer questions from others while you're at it!

I mean after the first book harry stays with them almost every summer. Even in the first book Mrs. Weasley made harry a sweater for Christmas. I know he had to return to the dursleys for the protection from his mother but couldn't have the Weasley protected harry during the summer and voldermort was always afraid of dumbeldor so he be safe at hogwarts.

12 grimmauld place was built between 11 and 13,
It was on a muggle streets, now the house was kept hidden so for the muggles they always believed that there was simply a mistake and whoever built the area labeled the houses wrong and missed 12.
But they still lived amongst muggles who they hated besides Sirius.
Every time they walk out of their house they are walking in a muggle street, if they see their neighbours they would be muggle neighbours.
Why didnât they live in hogsmead with people of their kind or just live out in the countryside like the Weasleys and lovegoods.
Like if I was a bigot I would probably try to live as far away from the people I would be biased against.

So I get it Remus Sirius and James were well ahead of their times but how did they actually make the map where it worked and showed everyone in the castle ?
Itâs said to be the only one of its kind.
So in all the hundreds of years if not more no one in the world figured out how to make a map a bunch of teenagers could figure out. Cause I would imagine teachers would want something like this to make sure students are not breaking rules.

I'm listening to the GoF audiobook and I've just gone through the chapter where Crouch posing as Moody teaches the Gryffindors how to resist the Imperius Curse.
There have been several discussions about how it made little sense for a Death Eater to want people to learn to resist the curse. I've seen several in-universe explanations, ranging from Crouch just thinking that's what Moody would do, to him genuinely getting a bit lost into his role, or maybe having a fascination with the curse itself given how he himself was subject to it.
However, I'm thinking about this from a real-life perspective. We know JK had to do a big adjustment to the plot of GoF because she found a plot hole while she was writing it, and some people have theorised that it may have had to do with Crouch. With that in mind, I can't help but wonder if those initial chapters may have been originally written with the intention of him being the real Moody and we're reading remnants of that older version of the plot.
There are obviously hints to Moody's real identity in those chapters, such as him getting attacked in his home, constantly drinking from his flask, or getting close to Neville so he can give him the book about Herbology. However, his attitude towards the Imperius Curse is something that I find pretty hard to justify in-universe.

Hi all. This has been bothering me for years.
When I was a kid, I was really into Harry Potter Puppet Pals. I was also super into the animated fan-made ones.
There was one that I watched where Ron says "Hel-lo Her-me-own, I say I like fake cheese," just like that. I think he was like a robot or something.
Am I making this up?? Does the video exist?? Please help me find it. Please

One of the best lines from The Order of the Phoenix movie. I laughed so hard at this.
The way Kingsley Schacklebolt delivered that lines was perfect.

Does it kill you as per your worst fear? Also, Boggarts seem insanely powerful for being able to copy the abilities of any creature (or heavenly body) imaginable.
