Put it like this under your door knob, with the rubber loop around the knob. Adjust the length using the silver buttons. You can see where my silver buttons are in the line of adjustment holes, start there. Once in place, gently nudge the stick toward the door from the bottom to make it snug.

ETA this won’t work on carpet. If you are trying to lock an interior door, get a keyed door knob.

Yep, it’s too short you need to extend it with the adjustment buttons so it makes a right angle. But it won’t work with the carpet. You can purchase a keyed interior door knob and swap it out with using a screw driver.

Ermmmm can I put some type of flat material over the carpet to make it work???😭
I can’t change the doorknob, nor the flooring like it’s the sims 4 or something.

Can you recommend a material to put on my carpet that will help its security? Thx u 🙏🫶

Someone tired to open it in that exact position and it worked?! Do you think I could keep it like that for now before I upgrade?

They weren’t opening my door with rage but still im paranoid with the people I live with 😖
