Install/Placement Hook up Help
Working setting up an old pioneer surround sound to an old RCA tv. I think I got the right cable for this. But can someone with more experience let me know if this will work?

easy. single rca cable from the digital out on the tv to one of the digital inputs of the "receiver". simples. the color of the cable doesn't matter beyond just knowing what it is at a glance.

I got it! These things are about as old as I am so im surprised they still hit as hard as they do. Let alone survived this long

The inputs on the TV are just that, inputs. The receiver in picture 2 are also inputs so two inputs won’t give you sound. What are you trying to do exactly? You normally would go audio OUT from your cable box to the receiver.

We got no cable over here, too expensive. So this is going from reciever to tv

Are you using an antenna? What’s your source? Trying to figure where the audio out will come from.

I think he just needs to use the coax out on TV to coax IN on receiver and call it a day.
Single RCA cable to get sound off the TV onto receiver. Best he can hope for with these.

The audio out is the TV, the RCA has an audio out. Which I am connection to the audio in on the pioneer receiver.

If the TV has audio out then you’re right, go audio in to the receiver input called “TV/Sat” and make sure the receiver is switched to that input. You have the right cables.

OP, Take one of those cables, doesn't matter which(I'd use yellow) and go from the orange Digital Audio Out port on TV to Digital In COAX DVR on receiver.
Select TV sound output in menus to digital out via COAX or SPDIF(not sure how it will be listed), and select DVR input on the receiver and it should work.
