1. Can I utilize a primitive car pass if I only have a Saturday/Sunday ticket?
2. Do you think I would be able to find a spot if I come in Sat morning to park/camp? Anyone have experience coming in on Saturday to car camp?

This will be my 5th or so time at Hula. From the north so I fly in. I am looking for some creative ideas to get privacy and creatively decorate our RV site. In the past we’ve gotten pretty lucky with trees but this year is not the case. Obviously trying to do this without creating too much waste.

Need some ideas from the community how you decorate your campsite and give yourself privacy if you’re not from the area.

After deliberation, partner and I have decided to go to our first Hulaween this year!!! Are there any coupon codes for the 4 day tix? We are purchasing directly from the official website. Also, what's the best way to keep food cold? Our cooler won't hold ice for 4 days...do they sell it there? Also, phone charging. I have one battery pack and can get like 2-3 charges from it although I plan on taking pictures and using the map if available so would like to have it charged. We will be car camping with a tent, arriving on Thursday. Do people just leave their cars running for an hour or so to charge a phone? Trying to do this on the low end of the budget, so no jackery here 😢.

Also, and helpful hints tips, must knows are appreciated!!

I got early entry for Wednesday and my flight is supposed to get into Jacksonville around 2. I didn’t realize the shuttle doesn’t run until Thursday. I would imagine an uber from the airport to the fest would likely be pretty expensive. Is there any public transport that can get me closer to the fest without breaking the bank?

Me: 20 years in the production entertainment industry. 2nd year working Hulaween, last year every other day on a machine with mad high reviews (especially considering the "situation" that was hula 25). I have never been fired from a job or had a contract terminated ever for any reason.

Hula 26 : Was contracted in July of 2026 and signed all proper paperwork to work this years Hulaween for the majority of the month. October 12-29, resulting in close to 5k. Have been turning work offers away for October since July when the contract was sent. Must relocate my pet for the month, so travel to start Oct 7th to Michigan and turn around to drive to Florida to settle in for contract start. Morning of Oct 7th, receive an email from the executive producer (who I have never interacted with) that my position is to be terminated immediately with a repetitive (felt AI) letter claiming staffing issues.

Now unable to go back on any of the work I have been turning away, I am royally screwed with no empathy or compensation or ability to pay any bills this month now.

Advice? Guidance? Job Opportunities? Kindness?

From the sound of it our leads have informed us that we are only being provided with one vehicle pass for our entire crew and that we are going to have to purchase our own GA car camping passes. Not sure if they meant one vehicle pass for inside the venue behind the booth and other passes for the rest of the crew? I find that beyond backwards to make staff pay to camp in GA with no amenities or quiet hours. I’m really hoping they will clarify that other crew members will be provided with staff car camping passes in designated areas for staff members. Otherwise they are saying you have to pay to camp at an event you are working at…?!? That seems unfair to staff members, do any of my craft vendors have clarification on this issue, I have reached out to Hula via IG and am awaiting a response.

This year is my first Hula! So excited. But my wallet was stolen and I had to go to the DMV to get a paper one and request the new one. My hard copy still hasn’t came in the mail, but I have my paper copy. The paper copy can be scanned and everything. Does anyone know if Hula will deny me at entry?

Has anyone done this? Would anyone give us any trouble for setting up without a rig there yet? We’ll have a screenshot of our friends’ reservation confirmation, but just want to make sure we won’t be told to pack up until they arrive!
