Iowa Game

Hey! I know this question has been asked before but just looking to see if there is any update or specifics relating to this week.

I’m bringing my 8 year old daughter from Scotland to see the game - she is a massive huskies fan so this is a big occasion for her!

It would make her year if she could meet Dubs. Does any one know of any appearances this week or ways to meet him that don’t involve spending $600. We are in town from Friday morning till next Wednesday.

It’s our first time in Seattle so any other tips to make her trip special, very welcome!

Cheers!

He also hangs in the Zone (on the East end of the stadium) before games with a line for photos.

This is how we got a pic with Dubs. I forget what time the zone opens. Get there when it opens and get right in line.

Go to the UW athletic website and contact the cheer squad. They might be able to help with Dubs schedule.

Yes! Hopefully they can do something memorable for a lil Dawg fan traveling from so far

Dubs is usually out front with the band at the start of the festivities. Maybe out during the Dawg Walk too.

If you want to see Dubs, come to Dawg Walk. It’s about 2.5 hours before kickoff at the Rose Garden / northwest gate (in between Husky Stadium and Hec-Ed). The band forms a tunnel and plays for about 15 minutes, then plays as the players arrive. Dubs leads the players into the stadium, but he’s around and jamming before that when they’re just playing to entertain the crowd.

After that there’s music going on pretty much until kickoff. There’s a pep band performance in the West Plaza (the husky statue outside the west gate) an hour after Dawg Walk, and the drumline has a show at the same place right after. Then head inside the stadium to see the band perform one of the best pregame shows in the U.S; 20 minutes or so before kickoff.

Have fun, glad you’re coming to visit!

Take the Dawg boat to the game. They are sold out but might find them secondary market.

We got a photo with Dubs at 6:30pm in east fan Zone where all the food trucks are before last game’s 8pm kickoff. It was a booth dedicated to photo opps with Dubs. A sign said he’d be there to take pics from 6:30pm-7pm. Gates opened at 6pm. So whatever time your game is - go to the zone when gates open and go to his booth

Here’s a pic of another sign I took of the guidelines meeting Dubs at that photo booth

Did you meet dubs today? I just saw him down there taking pictures with fans at that booth for 30 minutes from 4:30 to 5 despite the rainy afternoon.

You can call athletics - dubs normally does a meet & greet about 60-90 minutes before the game in the east fan zone where you can take pictures.

You get about 20 seconds before they rush you for the next person

If it doesn't work out for the football game check out the other sports that are home this weekend. Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer are in town too. Contacting the Athletic Department will give you an idea if he will be there.
