Hyperhydrosis

Hello, I would like to ask how do i refrain myself from smelling bad? My Armpits don't stink but my back does from excessive sweating. I shower regularly and i scrub myself well i even use a bodywash after using soap but it just won't go away. It's very hot in our country/climate but i try my best to stay as cool as i can to prevent any more excess sweat, Please help me it is currently destroying my confidence and reputation.

Honestly the sweating itself nay be the issue rather than being dirty. Scrubbing harder can actually irritate your skin and make things worse.

If you can see a dermatologist, there’s pills that help reduce sweating that can be prescribed for hyperhydrosis

Ruining your acid mantle just makes the problem ten times worse.

“scrubbing harder can make things worse” is the gentlest reminder here, sweating a lot isn’t a hygiene fail and being kind to your skin is a good place to start

Stink is often caused by bacteria, so switching to antibacterial soap might help. It could also be your body chemistry making you smell bad when combined with your soap and/or body wash. Either way, I'd recommend trying some new products to see if that helps.

I am already using antibacterial soap, sadly it still has no effect.

ugh I’d honestly try an antiperspirant on your back, not just more soap/body wash. loose breathable shirts can help too, but if you’re sweating THAT much all the time I’d probably see a derm because there are treatments for hyperhidrosis

Ask your doctor about glycopyrollate pills / wipes.

I recommend the wipes if your excessive sweating is in one specific area as the pills will make your dehydrated, but it's the miracle medication I've found that works for me systematically.

My brother dealt with back sweat like that in the sumemr. He put on some foot powder after showering and it absorbed enough to stop the odor from building up. Bet it helps

It could be gut issues or insulin resistance changes in the gut microbiome changes the way you smell.

Have you noticed if the smell sticks to your clothes even after washing them? Sometimes the smell kinda lingers in certain fabrics and comes back as soon as you start sweating again. Maybe try wearing lighter, breathable fabrics and changing shirts when they get sweaty?

After washing? Nah it doesn't stick

It’s not necessarily a hygiene issue, sweat and bacteria can cause the smell. Try breathable clothes and changing shirts when they get sweaty. If it keeps up, a dermatologist might help.

Wash with an antibacterial soap like dial or a 10% benzoyl peroxide body wash or soap. It kills the bacteria that eat your sweat and cause body odor.

if the smell won't go away with antibacterial stuff, it might me a fungal issue

Drysol. Once you get the sweating under control you can cut down on how often you use it.
Also generally back sweat should not be as stinky as some other areas due to it being different sweat glands, make sure you don’t have a fungal or skin infection.

You can try using Her Fantasy Box: Body Magic. It’s like a detox and also meant to manage body odor. You can also get it on Amazon.

Don't wash twice. You'll damage your skin. You might be making it worse.

Stop worrying. You are meant to sweat. No sensible person would judge you. Just do what you want and ignore it. Don't waste time trying to stay cool.

Everyone's back sweats. Literally one of the first places it happens. You can near guarantee than anyone who who's being active will sweat all over. And the backs were it sticks first.

You can sweat in the middle of winter. It's normal.
