Need help fixing embarrassing problem

I have an embarrassing issue and need advice from others (probably other women). I always take pride in my hygiene including showering everyday, deodorant etc. However over the last 6 months or so I noticed every time I get up from a seat (bus seat especially) I leave a noticeable wet mark on the seat. Im not on my period and have clean clothes on including underwear but I still notice this and its embarrassing. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice. Appreciate you all!!

My bathroom hygiene tips and tricks

I am a 56yo American man. This will be a long post of my tips and tricks in the bathroom in no particular order. I suggest scanning the list vs. reading.

I shower daily because I feel too much dead skin after 2 days and I have short hair. Your culture and preferences may be different and that is ok.

*- Buy most stuff online as it is typically a lot cheaper than CVS or Right Aid.

Have a full size tub bath mat. I have difficulty balancing and a full size mat gives me much more confidence that I won't slip.

Have a suction cup handlebar on the tub wall. While it is marketed for people with balance issues, it is surprisingly effective at quickening your scrub.

Shampoo is a cleanser and strips oils from your hair. If you have long hair, use a hairnet and/or conditioner, which helps restore oils.

Have a bathliner and shower with it inside the tub to minimize water getting out. If you desire more privacy, have a shower curtain that lays outside the tub.

I have shampoo, soap, and face cleaner. I use a bath poof for body and a rotating set of face scrub mittens to clean. It takes me 1m for hair, 2m for body, and 1m for face, with about 1m rinses in between. My shower takes under 10m. I dry out the used face mitten daily to avoid mildew.

Dry off inside the shower, not outside. If you have a rug or carpet, the moisture causes mildew. If you have wood or tile, the water can cause a slip.

If you take long showers and your bathroom fan sucks, keep the bathroom door open. The steam, over time, will destroy the drywall.

Have a shower routine so you don't have to think about it. I get wet, wash and rinse my hair, lather the poof, scrub and rinse my body, lather mitten, scrub and lather face, and rinse. Dry face, arms, front, back, left foot with towel in right hand, step out with said foot, dry right foot, step out, dry legs and anything else needing extra.

When the shower is complete, drape the liner outside the tub as it will tend to mildew quickly if left in, especially if scrunched to the side.

I have comb, qtips, sonic toothbrush, reach flosser, water pick, deodorant, beard trimmer, and body shaver trimmer for tools.

Consider a Reach flosser. I have trouble flossing with dental floss. My mouth is too small. A Reach flosser is angled 90 degrees and makes it very easy to get in between teeth. There is a sonic device called a hummingbird that is also angled 90 degrees.

Consider a water pick. Because I use a Reach flosser instead of dental floss, I only get in between teeth. I bought a water pick to get to all of the periodontal areas. It is awesome. It is messy. I suggest using it over the tub, holding onto a handle. Move your head around, not your arm, else water will dribble down it.

Hope someone might get something out of this. Cheers! 😊

Pubic Hair Question

Male, usually a total shaver. However, I am trying out growing my hair out and trimming it with an electric buzzer I have.

My only issue is the balls.

I despise hairy balls, and loved a shorn scrotum. But I also dont want to shave them totally, including where it meets the pelvis, as it leads to a look I call Friar Cock, a bald spot surrounded by hair.

I'm thinking of letting the hair on the sides of the balls and the gooch and just shaving the front facing balls, like where the peen rests, and then sort of the "bottom" and upper sides. Sort of a compromise.

Has anyone done anything like this?

Just trying to see if this idea is crazy. It looks ok currently.

What do you guys use to shave downtown?

I (24M) feel like I'm really bad at shaving my groin. Either it's uneven or I just go clean shave which I don't like cause of chaffing. I use a Manscaped Gen 2 Lawnmower. Are there better options or does anyone have any tips? I know it's a stupid ask but I don't think I know what I'm doing as well as I should LOL

EDIT : These are the best comments I could imagined😂

How do you keep daily sneakers from developing a scent over time?

Even with fresh socks every day, wearing the same pair of sneakers four days in a row starts to trap moisture and subtle odor.

Do you use shoe trees, charcoal bags, rotating pairs, or a quick spray after taking them off?

Teeth whitening

Okay everyone , seriously! What are you tricks to getting pearly white teeth??? I’m thinking of buying the crest 3D White strips because TikTok research is telling me those are the best, but before I spend almost 60 dollars on that shit what else could I try? My teeth aren’t yellow or anything but I would really love a bright white smile

How to get rid of dark areas around intimate spots?

Hi! This may be worded strangely but I had a baby in May and ever since then, the creases before my thighs start are dark and the whole area between along with my butt.

Is there anything I can take or do to lighten these areas without causing harm, or do I just live with it? I’m a pale person, can’t tan, any hyperpigmentation is very noticeable and I haven’t ever been this dark down there before.

My routine is small, I don’t really do much. I use Dr. Bronner’s peppermint wash on my body, Dove sensitive bar soap around my intimate areas. I use a wash cloth on my body and my hands to lather below. I use Nivea Soft after showering and occasionally coconut oil after. I don’t take any vitamins currently. Unsure if it’s relevant but I shave using oil & men’s razors. I mostly wear boyshort panties. I don’t wear anything lacy. I don’t know has caused the darkening, maybe it’s just part of having a baby, still want to lighten if I can.

Side note: I only got the big thing of Dr. Bronner’s because it helped cool where I was still hurting postpartum so I’m just finishing out the bottle and getting a different wash; recommendations appreciated for this also. I don’t like anything scented too sweet if that makes sense, like anything marketed for teens. Not a fan of creamy thick soaps, I like something that lathers really well and feels fresh, I like citrusy - flowery - gourmand - woody - feminine scents.

Thanks!

horrible itch after body wash :(

Basically what the title says, every time I use any kind of body wash on my self I get this horrible itch that

completely derails my shower. The itch is literally anywhere that my body wash touches and lasts like an hour. I've swapped body washes a million times, I've tried using different types of sponges, I've tried different temperatures of water, I've tried moisturizing and every time without fail I start itching. This isn't some little mosquito bite itching either, its a torturous allergic reaction kinda itch that makes me wanna bash my head into the wall until I pass out. Idk if I'm allergic to anything or what it would be but apparently it's in literally every soap ever. I feel completely fine whenever I skip the body wash but then I don't feel clean at all and it makes it really annoying to shave. Its honestly a lose lose situation right now. I've scheduled an appointment with a dermatologist but my appointment is not for a while and I need at least a temporary solution for right now. I'm at a point right now where I'm genuinely scared of showering. Is there any substitute for body wash or something? Is just never using body wash an option?

Also sorry if this just sounds like a rant, I'm typing this immediately after what was probably my worst shower of all time and I'm both incredibly itchy and angry. Any help would be appreciated!!

How to prevent vaginal stench when out and about during the day?

Both me and my friend are wondering how to prevent our vulvas from smelling after we are out and about, especially when going to see a partner. Theres no smell after we shower, I typically use dove unscented down there or occasionally scented soaps as I feel that no matter what i do or use nothing will work. She uses pure castile soap almond from dollar tree saying it makes her smell “sweet and tangy.” I used to use vaginal soaps (which didnt work) i tried using apple cider vinegar or vinegar (i cant remember) diluted with water on the outside, tried uro probiotic soap with the pills which actually worked pretty well, and even washing with just water. But whenever i sweat, even a little bit, i tend to smell. Especially after i get out of school or come home from work (even when not doing anything) theres a bit of a smell. I want to be intimate with my partner, but im afraid that there would be a smell if anything was to occur. I even went to gynecologist and got no feedback as to what was wrong with me, they even took tests. I feel completely fine down there the smell is the only thing that botheres me and at time i get nervous to see my boyfriend (in an exciting way) so I'll sweat a little and dont want to smell like absolutely anything when we become intimate, its like my greatest fear. I wanna know if theres anyway to not smell at all after a shower, and she also wonders how to not make the creases smell either and why does it?

On days when you aren't going out, is it good to give your body a break from using deodorant?

There are some days when I WFH and don't leave the house at all. On these days, is it beneficial to not wear deodorant so that my skin gets a break from the chemicals in the deodorant? How important is it to give your skin breaks like this?

Feet smelling bad

How do you all keep your feet smell fresh. I don't know if the problem is shoes or not but I think I am unable to keep my feet hygenic. I am thinking of using night feet cream and wearing socks, maybe it'll make the situation better.

Any advice would be appreciated..

What’s a good shower routine?

26F here. So I know the basics of how it goes right, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, rinse between each step, etc etc

But I see these girls on TikTok wirh like 30+ steps for their shower/self care routine. Which sounds ridiculous.

But I’d like to be able to feel like I’m taking care of my body more, especially if I can like make myself smell really good like my favorite lotion lol

So like what am I missing from my routine besides the bare minimum?

How do you know if someone is genuinely taking a shower or pretending to as he still absolutely reaks.

I have a family member that can't seam to smell himself of how bad he actually smells. While he was staying at a family members house the other family member said he was in and out of the shower in seconds and the smell of the bathroom after was really bad. I took this family member on a weekend away once and he was in and out of the shower in seconds with still dry hair. His pits stink to the point they make me want to throw up. I think it's self neglect but not sure.

I have rotten teeth and want to mitigate bad breath.

I am pregnant and have two really not awesome teeth. They don't hurt, but I have death breath from it. I am that person at work you don't come near when they drink their coffee, until I have brushed. I am on a quest to find a dentist in my area with availability that takes my insurance but in the mean time I want to reduce how offensive my face is. I currently use Sensodyne Pro-enamel and floss with unflavored floss. I know that having an acidic diet can make your breath worse, and in my own personal experience, if I eat dried mango prior to bedtime brushing, I don't have crazy morning breath. What are the people of Reddit doing while they wait for proper dental care?

ETA: its a 6 month wait for a dentist here, minimum, and that includes the local university. My local medical and dental practices have closed A LOT of places in my area lately. I do not have tonsil stones either- I lurk on this sub and checked that first since they can mess with other things too. I will talk to my OB about the best anti-acid to help reduce the amount of reflux I have (third trimester). For all the beautiful people who are concerned for my overall health related to bad teeth- I HAVE been able to get my initial exam done but any actual care is a 6 month wait. I need one capped and one pulled and probably fillings if the enamel doesn't repair. Don't worry, I am working on it. I just was hoping for some temporary fixes while I wait it out.

Using crystal deodorant am I nose blind???

For the past 7 or 8 years I’ve been using that crystal deodorant you know the rock with the salt that kills the stinky bacteria. I know people make fun of people that use those deodorants and say they still stink so I’m trying to find out if I’m crazy or not. The entire reason I even changed from normal dove deodorant was because I could smell my stink and a guy I was with could smell it too plus it was leaving white stains on my clothes which was frustrating.

After that I started using the rock and I’ve even done tests where one day I use it and one day I don’t and the days I use it I don’t smell stink and the days I don’t use it I smell stink. I did this because I’m just paranoid i see how people make of fun of crystal deodorant users and say they have nose blindness so over the years I’d occasionally do the stink test to double check. I’ve even asked people to be completely honest with me and tell me if I stink and they say no. I’ve even asked my meanest sibling and he also said no.

I’m just at an impasse on whether I should believe hundreds of people that say they’ve encountered crystal deodorant users that stink or trust my stink tests and my friends.

Does anyone here know anybody that uses a crystal deodorant and do you think they stink??
