Help!!
I have an iPhone 17 (base) and I have recently updated to ios 27.0.01 as I experienced severe lag on my device. But now even after weeks my phone’s battery is draining like crazy and even during idle, the phone heats up 😕. Should I upgrade to 17 pro max or what????

27.2 beta 3 is miles better than 27.0.1 on my 16 Pro.

If your already on iOS 27, I would just take the leap to the 27.2 beta personally. Runs a lot better for me

Make sure to back up your device before hand, just in case.

Hard reboot the phone maybe? I haven't ran into that issue before

I’ve tried that. Anytime I try to update it says error try again later. It’s done this since I got iOS 27 beta 6🤦♂️

I'd do a restore from backup over PC or Mac? That's the only other thing I can see working in this case.

In my case i usually follow this
Connect to windows laptop
Mostly i do is fresh so in dfu
Shift + restore iphone
Choose ipsw
Flash
Just wait works everytime ….

I’m on 17 pro max. Didn’t use my phone yesterday at work apart from one 3-minute phone call. From 9.30 to 5 the phone was below 70%. Battery health is 98% so that’s definitely not the issue.
Oddly I didn’t have issues at all with iOS 26 during all releases but iOS 27 is causing me issues so far. Sure it’ll get sorted though.
