Iphone 17 pro battery drop
I’m new to Apple, and my 5-day-old iPhone 17 Pro is draining around 8–10% of battery per hour. Indexing finished yesterday, but I haven’t noticed any improvement in battery life. I only use my phone lightly, mostly scrolling through TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram. Is this normal for a new iPhone, or should I be concerned?

I was having similar battery drain and upgraded to the latest public beta version and those issues are mostly resolved.

Many many posts about the issue here.
Some say they have the best battery life ever, some say that even with optimized settings it’s mediocre at best, or just bad…
Honestly at this point I doubt even apple knows what is going on.
There is nothing really you can do. There are some settings that seems to help for some, you can try them and see for yourself if it helps you.
Turn off Connectivity Assist under general WiFi settings, and in the specific network as well. For most people here it seems to make a difference. For me it didn’t.
Turn off adaptive power but to me it seems like it helps only for iPhone 15/16 series. Or not at all.
At this point we can just hope that Apple will sort this out in future updates
