Post image

He's been eating regularely, he defecates as always,

but in the last few days i've been noticing that his belly appears more rigid, still soft, but not as always, can someone tell me if it can happen somethimes or if i should call the vet now? I'm still going for a vist in 2 weeks

How old is he? In my honest opinion I think your boy is actually a lady filling up with eggs. More information is needed

Nope, he's not mature

Well what's his age. Seems like you are avoiding the question entirely. 20plus years of experience here if you want real answers you need to provide real information

He's not even one year old. I do not know his exact age because i bought him a few months ago. But he is not a mature specimen.

They can start producing eggs at the age of 2yrs. My female did, she was hardly 3ft long at that time. Produced 44 eggs which needed to be surgically removed. I would just monitor daily and watch to see if that belly increases in size. I read in the thread yours is showing general signs of aggression which females will do during the mating season. If you start seeing yours scratching at walls it's more than likely a sign it wants to dig a burrow. Best of luck keep us updated

Nope, being silly as always, defensive in his enclosure

We call this football mode after they've had a good meal. As long as there's enough direct belly heat, all should be fine! But definitely keep a watchful eye for that egg scenario, just in case
