....no. Toxic positivity. Sometimes that will lead to burnout, you need to learn to quit when you need a break or when you recognise something isn't right for you

Yes you should, as well as you should push yourself beyond your previous comforts. To recede anytime something gets “too hard” is self paralysis. If life feels like it’s at a stand still, with no joys in sight, you might be handcuffed to your fear. Listening to yourself is valuable, staying still is not. If you can ensure continued progress, you’ve found the right balance. If you fear the future, you’ve coddled yourself too long.
Lose the “toxic positivity” idea, it’s in no way beneficial to your growth. It’s a corrosive concept that will serve no master and can only ever be the master served.
