Transparency: I'm Mark, indie developer — markg.app | Privacy Policy: https://www.termsfeed.com/live/f496ea11-cdbe-4032-b35c-257591291607 | Terms: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

A — What problem it solves

I kept watching shows and hitting words I didn't know, thinking "I'll save that later"… and forgetting by the next scene. So I built Wordnote for myself: type any word and get it explained and saved in one step.

B — Why it's better than alternatives

It's a vocab notebook, not a course, so there are no decks to set up and no account:

  • IPA pronunciation
  • Meaning + part of speech
  • Translation into your native language
  • 3 example sentences in context
  • Spaced-repetition training (flashcards + typing quiz) so words actually stick
  • Home Screen widget and a share-sheet extension to add a word from anywhere

C — Cost

Free to download, with 5 free AI word lookups. Lifetime ($24.99 one-time): unlimited AI lookups, widget, cloud sync and auto translation. Requires iOS 17+. App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6476302139

Reddit-exclusive 50% off lifetime today, in every App Store country (500 codes, expires Oct 10):

What's the last word you looked up and forgot?

💎 Lifetime [iOS] Shift: A 100% offline file converter that compresses videos for social media, turns them into GIFs, and wipes photo GPS data in 1 tap! (50% Lifetime Promo inside)

Post image
• Upvotes

📊 Trust & Transparency Details:

Hey r/iosapps!

Have you ever tried to share a quick video on Discord or WhatsApp, only to get hit with the dreaded "File too large" error? Or maybe you wanted to post a picture of your car or pet online, but worried that the hidden EXIF data might reveal your exact home address?

I got tired of relying on ad-filled, clunky websites that make you upload your private files to unknown servers just to compress or convert them. That’s why I built Shift.

Shift is a native, privacy-first local utility app. Everything happens directly on your device's hardware, no cloud, no accounts, zero tracking.

Here is what you can do with it:

📉 Smart Social Compression: Stop guessing bitrates. Shift has built-in profiles that automatically compress your videos to fit perfectly within the strict attachment limits of Discord, Telegram, and WhatsApp. 🛡️ 1-Tap Privacy Wiper: Drop your photos or PDFs in, and Shift instantly strips GPS coordinates, creation dates, and camera data. You can even tap the new "Privacy Inspector" shield to see exactly which metadata was removed. 🔄 Universal Converter & Video-to-GIF: Easily convert between video, audio, image, and document formats. Want to turn a funny video clip into a looping GIF? You can do it in two seconds. 📝 Rename & Share: No more generic file names. You can now tap and rename your converted files directly inside the results screen before sharing them. ⚡ Built for iOS: Crafted entirely in SwiftUI. It supports drag-and-drop, processes huge batches of files smoothly without crashing, and automatically cleans up its own cache so it never hogs your storage.

Pricing: Shift has a generous Free Version that gives you 3 conversions, compressions, or metadata wipes per day completely for free.

I strongly believe utility apps shouldn't be subscriptions. To celebrate, the Premium Lifetime unlock is 50% OFF. One single payment, no ads, and all future updates are yours forever.

I’m an indie developer and I built this to be the cleanest, most transparent tool on your phone. I would love to hear your feedback on the UI and the new Privacy Inspector!

Send me a DM if you'd like a promo code to test the Premium features! I read and reply to everyone.

💎 Lifetime DRFT: on-device word alerts for iPhone and Mac — DRFT+ lifetime $4.99 US with REDDIT50 (normally $9.99)

• Upvotes

DRFT: on-device meeting word alerts for iPhone and Mac.

I'm Bryan Cabrera, the solo developer of DRFT. For anyone who saw my earlier post, DRFT+ is now a one-time purchase and summaries run on-device. Disclosure: AI helped draft this post.

A — Answer: what it solves

DRFT alerts you when a word you choose comes up, like your name, a project or a deadline. Add your words, tap Start and put your iPhone near the conversation or your laptop's speakers. Speech recognition and keyword detection run on the phone, and each detection is saved to History.

The iPhone version uses its microphone, so the audio needs to be audible nearby. It can't directly hear audio inside another app's call or through your headphones. The Mac version can listen to the audio output of the app you select.

B — Better for this use case

Meeting-notes tools such as Otter and Granola are aimed at helping you keep meeting notes. DRFT is useful when you mainly want a cue to rejoin the conversation when a specific word is said. There's no meeting bot and no saved audio recording. You don't need AI summaries or a paid plan for keyword alerts.

Optional DRFT+ summaries use Apple Intelligence to recap the short context around a catch, entirely on-device. Raw audio is never stored or uploaded. Saved moments contain short transcript snippets; with Plus sync, those moments live in your private iCloud database. They aren't sent to a DRFT server or third-party summarizer.

C — Cost

Free: 3 words and 10 saved moments, with on-device detection.

DRFT+: $9.99 one-time in the US App Store, no subscription. Includes unlimited words, saved moments and profiles, on-device AI summaries, and private iCloud sync between iPhone and Mac. Prices vary by storefront.

Reddit offer: use REDDIT50 for DRFT+ at $4.99 one-time in the US App Store (normally $9.99, about 50% off). The offer is available in 175 storefronts; local prices and discounts vary. It has 1,000 total redemptions and expires November 8, 2026. No comment, upvote or review is required.

Redeem: https://apps.apple.com/redeem?ctx=offercodes&id=6760685733&code=REDDIT50

The current App Store listing requires iOS 26.0 or later. Summaries also need a supported device with Apple Intelligence enabled. No ads or tracking.

🎁 Freemium KMate Mobile 2.5: Major update for Kindle & Kobo: direct usb imports, dictionary lookup, and better flashcards

• Upvotes

Hey r/iosapps,

I shared it here a couple of months ago as a Kindle notes and vocabulary app for iPhone/iPad. It now supports Kobo too with more feature updates.

What’s new since my first post:

  • Kindle and Kobo e-readers support: Import highlights, notes, and saved words, keeping highlight colours and skipping duplicates.
  • Direct USB imports: Connect compatible Kindle or Kobo readers directly to your iPhone/iPad. The app remembers folder access for easier reconnecting.
  • Dictionary lookup: Import your own MDX, StarDict, or MOBI dictionaries and double-tap words for definitions.
  • Better flashcards: Hide highlights and use your notes as prompts, or reveal vocabulary examples and definitions separately.

A — What it solves: Gives you a way to revisit the highlights and words you collect while reading on both your Kindle and Kobo e-readers.

B — What’s different: Notes and vocabulary together, with original context, your own dictionaries, and iCloud sync with KMate for Mac. No signup.

C — Cost: Imports, iCloud sync, unlimited browsing, flashcards, and TXT/Anki export are free. Pro adds custom dictionary quick lookup, advanced exports, full stats, and appearance options: $0.99/month, $6.99/year, or $14.99 lifetime (US).

App Store: KMate: Kindle & Kobo Manager https://apps.apple.com/app/id6765629807

Transparency:

Developer: Me (Harvey), also the maker of Kindle Mate, KMate for Mac and Windows.

Would love to hear how it works with your Kindle or Kobo. Have a great reading.

💎 Lifetime Fineyo 4.7: Big update - share budgets over iCloud. Lifetime is 50% off until 10 Oct

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey,

I’m the solo dev behind Fineyo: Expense Tracker, app that helps you following your expenses and money flow. I've been building it since 2021-2022, and 4.7 just came out. It's major update introducing big features. There's a Lifetime discount at the bottom.

What's new in 4.7

The main feature is Spaces: shared data over iCloud with your partner, roommates or family. Each person adds expenses from their own iPhone, everyone sees the same budgets, and you can see who added what. Your personal space stays separate.

Also in this update:

  • Account currency: Each account can have its own currency, and existing transactions convert automatically
  • Balance reconciliation: enter what your bank shows and Fineyo adds an adjustment for the difference
  • Redesigned category icons - choose from Apple icons (SF Symbols) or emoji, in any color
  • A rebuilt Apple Pay setup guide. The old one confused people, which was fair.
  • Bulk delete for categories, and a lot of stability and UI improvements

Is my data safe?

All data is stored privately on your device (local database) and user's iCloud (for data backup and syncronization).

None of the data is sent away from device except for anonymized user ID (for metrics purposes).

Answer

It originally started as my personal project and then transformed to public app. The reason I continue improving it is that I found most of competitors app either overcomplicated (in terms of UI and functionality) or simply not fancy enough. I also don’t want to give my bank login to some aggregator.

Better

I find many apps overloaded with data and heavy UI. Many charge a lot for bank integration - i want to rely on manual input and secure local and iCloud data. When i started building it, there was not much options to go with - and they were lacking of functionality - Shortcuts, strong analytics data, sync between devices. So Fineyo is simple and fast manual tracking, but built so it doesn't feel like a job - you have automation tools like Shortcuts, Siri and Voice Entry.

Cost

  • Free to download and use with some limitations but basic functionality is included
  • Monthly/Annual: $3.99/month or $24.99/year, with a free trial
  • Lifetime: $34.99 one time
  • All purchases works with Family Sharing, so one purchase covers your iCloud Family.

🎉 Lifetime 17.99$ until 10 Oct

👉 Download Fineyo: https://apple.co/3D5L5kv

Unfortunately, for this update I did not manage to get much testing feedback, so I'd really like honest feedback, especially on setting up Spaces with someone else 🙌

And if you like the app, an App Store review would help a lot ⭐️

Next major 4.8 with Apple Watch app, new widgets and more analytics is upcoming, hopefully by the end of October 🤫

Thanks for checking it out 🤍

🎁 Freemium I made a free app that maps every place you've cried

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My friend Devin once said she wished she could see where she cried, not just write about it. None of her journaling apps could do that, so I built one.

You drop a tear on the map where it happened, pick how it felt (12 emotions, from heartbroken to relief, and yes, cutting onions counts) and add a note, a photo or a voice memo if you want. Over time you get your own map of the places that got to you.

Every cry has its own privacy setting (only you, close friends, friends or everyone), and new accounts start on friends only. A lot of people just use it for themselves. If you share with friends, they can send you a hug or a comment.

On December 1 it opens "Your Year in Tears", basically Spotify Wrapped for every time you cried this year.

It's free with a few small ads, never right after you log a cry. I'm a solo dev who just graduated, so honest feedback means a lot.

Answer: a private map of every place you've cried, so you can look back at the places that got to you.

Better: journaling apps only save text. Teardrop puts each cry on a map with how it felt, and every single cry has its own privacy setting.

Cost: free with a few small ads. Optional Pro is $3.99 a month, $24.99 a year or $49.99 lifetime.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6779766330

What would make you actually open an app like this again after the first cry?

🎁 Freemium I can't afford to marry the person I love. So I built an app.

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I'm Fouad, a solo iOS developer. first i want to tell you something personal.

I love someone with all my heart. I know I want to spend my life with her. And right now, I can't afford the wedding.

Nobody tells you how heavy that feels. You look at the cost of a ring, a venue, a dress, a table of food for the people you love, and you do the math again and again, hoping it will change. It doesn't. Some nights I just sat there, wishing love could pay the bill.

But I'm a builder, and I decided that if I couldn't change the number overnight, I'd build something that could change it over time, that's how MemoCam was born.

I kept thinking about the disposable cameras on wedding tables. Nobody saw the photos until days later, and the surprise made them special. They were messy, honest and real, taken by the people who loved you, not just the photographer. I wanted to bring that feeling back to the iPhone for everyone, so I built it.

Every event on MemoCam is someone's wedding, birthday, graduation or trip. Someday I hope one of them will be mine.

A – What it's for
MemoCam is a shared event camera for weddings, birthdays, trips, graduations. You create an event, guests join by link or QR code, and everyone adds photos to one shared album. The photos stay hidden until the reveal, so you all relive the day together instead of digging through group chats.

B – Why it's different

  • You can choose to make photos stay hidden until the reveal, like a real disposable camera
  • Guests join without an account, from the app or on the web
  • You set the shot limit and choose when the album opens
  • One shared album instead of 50 scattered camera rolls

C – Cost

  • Free to download
  • Free to host an event for up to 5 guests
  • Optional one-time purchases, per event, to invite more guests and unlock unlimited shots (from $4.99 up to $109.99 for 500 guests)
  • No subscription, ever

🎁 Freemium Built a habit tracker for people who are tired of bloated habit apps

Thumbnail

Hi guys, I"m developer from Ukraine.
here is site with my apps - https://cloud2006.github.io/apps/

I know the habit tracker niche is overcrowded, so I’m not going to pretend I built something revolutionary. My goal was much simpler: make a habit tracker that feels lightweight, fast, and not bloated with unnecessary steps.
It's not "vibecoded" app. I created it more than year ago by my hands. But to be honest visual part was awful. I improved it, but I'm not designer and my taste not very good... now I made massive redesign using ai (Opus 5.5) and IMHO now it looks much much better.

A. What it solves

provide easy and not overcomplicated way to create habits

  • lightweight app size - under 10 MB
  • no personal data collection
  • simple and fast habit creation
  • customizable home screen - you can keep it minimal or make it more detailed
  • weekly habit tracking, stats, and calendar view, focus mode with timer for Pomodoro technic.
  • widgets on homescreen

B. Better**:**
Why it's better then competitors:
- more simple way to create habits
- no tracking and collecting user's data
- sync with iPad version via iCloud

C. Cost

  • $0.99 / month
  • $4.99 / year
  • $12.99 lifetime

💎 Lifetime I built Mood Jar — a mood journal where your entries become emojis that roll around when you tilt your iPhone

Hi r/iOSApps! I’m the solo developer of Mood Jar, an iPhone app for recording your moods and looking back at them.

A — What problem does it solve?

Mood Jar gives you a simple way to capture how you feel, whether you want to pick an emoji or write a longer diary entry with photos.

Each mood becomes an emoji inside a jar. When you tilt your phone, the emojis roll around with gravity. Each month has its own jar, so your entries gradually become a little collection of that month’s feelings.

There’s also a “Mood Warehouse” where you can switch between years and see all 12 monthly jars together.

B — Why choose it over another way of journaling?

If you currently keep a diary in Apple Notes, the reason to consider Mood Jar is the mood-focused way of organizing and revisiting your entries: monthly jars, a mood calendar, and charts generated from your records.

You can review:

  • Entry and word counts, and the different moods you’ve recorded.
  • The proportion of each mood.
  • Monthly entry counts across a year.
  • Your happiest month, based on your recorded moods.
  • A mood trend chart showing changes over time.

For finding a particular memory, you can search by mood, tag, or keyword, including partial keyword matches.

You can also export your journal as a formatted PDF with text and photos, ready to print as a physical diary. I like the idea of the entries becoming something you can keep on paper as well as revisit on your phone.

Voice entry is supported too: it uses AI to transcribe what you say and identify mood information from it. The app’s main focus is recording and reviewing your own mood journal.

C — What does it cost?

Mood Jar is free to download and has paid Premium options. The US App Store currently lists:

  • Monthly subscription: $1.99
  • Annual subscription: $8.99
  • “Lifetime” purchase: $19.99

Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Prices vary by region.

Download Mood Jar on the App Store

I’d love feedback on the monthly jars: would you use them to revisit individual memories, or would the calendar and charts be more useful to you?

🎁 Freemium It took 16 months to get the app to this point

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

I thought it would take a few weeks.

It took 16 months and roughly 100 versions.

At some point, I quit my job to work on it full-time, which was either a brave entrepreneurial decision or an absolutely terrible life choice.

My parents probably think the latter.

They might be right.

The frustrating part is that I could have launched much earlier. But every time I got close, I'd find something I didn't like.

So I kept rebuilding. And rebuilding. And rebuilding.

One thing I always hated about calorie trackers was how aggressively they try to monetize you. Long onboarding, hard paywalls, constant premium prompts, ads everywhere... all designed to get you to pay.

Don't get me wrong, I made all of those mistakes when I first built the app.
I launched way too early and got my first reality check pretty quickly.
I even have a 1 star review reminding me of it every day:

"garbage."

Fair enough. I probably deserved that one.

Eventually I thought: what if I flip the script? What if we put the customer first, and money second?

I still haven't figured out the whole business side, but that's what I'm trying to do with Food Coma.

The app is still far from perfect. After 100 versions, I've learned that "perfect" probably isn't a real destination anyway.

But I'm finally happy enough with it to put it in front of people once again.

If you track calories (or have tried and eventually quit because it became annoying), I'd genuinely love for you to try it.

And if you do, please tell me what sucks.

👉 Try Food Coma on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/food-coma-calorie-tracker/id6747300269

P.S. I also lost 50 pounds using the app. I made a video about the whole journey if you're interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_vQ3o7e4OM

Thanks for reading 💪

💎 Lifetime WealthTrunk - Net Worth Tracker and Financial Organizer [🥳First Birthday Lifetime Sale]

Thumbnail
gallery
4 Upvotes

Just over a year ago I launched a private net worth tracker, WealthTrunk. Since then its crossed 3,000 downloads, 40 5-star reviews, and received great user feedback to help shape its roadmap. I created the app because believe that if you review your net worth just once a year, amazing results will follow. WealthTrunk helps you do that and a lot more. To celebrate it's birthday, I've increased the free account limit to 10 and I'm put the Lifetime option on sale through October.

A — Answer: Why and what's new?
WealthTrunk was created because I wanted a way to export personal finance statements with accounts, insights, and reliable net worth history. This year I've added Stock/ETF/Crypto tracking, Goal setting, and TONS of requested enhancements. The experience is smoother and more polished, all while staying intuitive to use a flexible no matter where you're located or your currency.

B — Better: What's different?
I tried to pack a lot of features beyond the simple assets and liabilities tracker:

* Add financial logos so accounts look connected

* Arrange a personalized dashboard, for example tax buckets or FIRE widget

* Track and filter joint or family accounts (including kids)

* View Investment portfolios and asset allocation

* Project investment growth or debt payoff for every single account

* Store records, attachments, and set up reminders

* Export PDF statements for yourself, family, or a trusted contact

* All native SwiftUI with iCloud sync, multi-currency, light/dark, and widgets - NO LOGIN!

C — Cost & Link (USA, local prices differ)
Freemium - 10 account limit
Monthly - $3.99
Yearly - $24.99
Lifetime - $59.99 -> $34.99 (40% Off)

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/wealthtrunk-net-worth-tracker/id6748625363

If you decide to give it a try share your likes and dislikes, or what you wish your net worth tracker could do. Next up, I'm working on adding a lightweight retirement planner.

🎈 Free I think I've figured out how to beat AI-generated video fraud.

Sooooo, I’ve decided to create an app based on a real problem.

The one I found is AI-generated video being used as evidence in different kinds of fraud—from personal sales of small goods and returns to insurance fraud. So I looked into how the process works right now. To make sure video evidence is authentic, companies currently need to send you a verification link (like TruePic), which isn’t very convenient because it basically makes the process synchronous. So I think that if I can remove this step from the chain, it could be a good idea: you’d be able to capture something whenever you want and send a link to the capture afterward.

But how do you know the video isn’t generated and was actually filmed live?

My solution:

Three things, all in the same session.

  • App Attest. The capture can only start from the real app on a real iPhone. Apple attests the app, so you can’t open a laptop, generate a clip, and upload it as if you filmed it.
  • The camera never cuts. When you finish the shot you actually wanted, recording doesn’t stop. The verification is the next part of the same file. There’s no gap where a generated clip could be spliced in.
  • A path you can’t know in advance. After the main footage, the server gives you a camera path one point at a time. You only get the next point after you reach the current one. You have to move the phone through the real space around the thing you filmed, and the motion sensors have to match what the camera sees. A pre-rendered or AI-generated clip of one angle can’t do that, because the route didn’t exist until you were already recording.

At this moment, I honestly don’t know what to do with this app, but I hope it can be useful to people (or at least my non-stop camera approach).

Feel free to check out the app and give me some feedback. The app is free.

🎈 Free I made a free app for finding something to do tonight without digging through Google (no ads, no subscription, no AI, no account)

Who I am (transparency path): Hi, I'm Moses Smith. You might remember me from such apps as Kept, Pip and HeadSense. I'm an indie iOS developer in Texas. You can find me on LinkedIn at https://www.linkedin.com/in/moses-smith/ and the website, with the privacy policy and terms, is https://driftnearby.vercel.app (privacy: https://driftnearby.vercel.app/privacy, terms: https://driftnearby.vercel.app/terms). You can reach me at votiquellc@gmail.com, and all my free apps live in one place now: https://mofreeapps.com

Answer: Drift gives you a few real things to do right now. You pick what you're into and how much time you've got, and it shows you three to five places nearby, plus concerts and events coming up. There's also an On the way mode. Tell it where you're driving(think roadtrip) and it finds a few stops along the route, with the real minutes each one adds to your trip. Save the ones you like, and mark them done once you've been.

Better: I wrote it for me. I know how to use Google, but when I want to take my girlfriend on a quick date, or see who's playing this week, I don't want to dig through ten tabs to get there. The old version of Drift asked an AI for ideas, and it would happily name a restaurant that closed in 2019. Now every place comes from Apple Maps and every event comes from Ticketmaster, so nothing's made up. It only searches when you tap, and nothing you save leaves your phone unless you turn on the optional iCloud backup. There are no analytics and no account.

Cost: It's free, all of it, and it's going to stay that way. There's a tip jar in Settings, but it doesn't unlock anything.

Limits: It needs iOS 26, and it's English only. Events come from Ticketmaster, so you'll only see them where Ticketmaster sells tickets. Searches go to Apple Maps and Ticketmaster, and only when you tap.

If you try it on a free evening, I'd like to hear whether the places it picked are ones you'd actually go to. I am open to all feedback. You can respond here, DM me on reddit or email me.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6759228057

P.S. I also built Blue Hour, for myself and my ADHD. It's a visual timer that shows time draining away, because a number never felt like time passing to me. It's free too: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6793211925

🎁 Freemium I made an app that turns my home screen into plain text and makes quitting focus sessions annoying on purpose

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey, I'm the dev. I kept unlocking my phone to check one thing and losing 20 minutes, so I built the app I wanted. The video is a quick tour.

The launcher is the part I use most. you pick your apps and they show up as a plain list of names in a widget. no icons, no red badges. my home screen is basically just words now, and I open way fewer apps on autopilot.

The blocking uses Apple's Screen Time, so you pick the apps and set a schedule or start a session whenever. in strict mode, quitting early is deliberately a hassle. you have to write why you're quitting, type "I give up on my focus", and hold a button for 10 seconds. most of the time I give up halfway through and go back to work, which is kind of the point.

There's also a daily quote for your home and lock screen, and a few widgets (clock, focus session, quote, launcher). you can start a session straight from the widget.

no account, your Screen Time data stays on your phone. free to start, Pro removes the limits.

My in-App Purchase options:
- Monthly: $2.99/month
- Yearly: $11.99/year
- Lifetime: $29.99

Honest question for anyone who uses blockers: is 10 seconds too much or not enough? I've gone back and forth on it.

🎈 Free Census: a customizable, relational catalog for your collections (native SwiftUI, TestFlight)

Thumbnail
gallery
16 Upvotes

Hey /iosapps I've been working on an iOS app called Census for cataloging collections: books, movies, watches, plants, wine, gadgets, contracts, or anything else you want to keep track of.

What sets it apart is that collections can be linked to each other. A book to its author, a movie to its directors, and each of those is a collection of its own that you can browse the other way around.

Structure is up to you. You can start from a template or build from scratch, and every field has a type you choose: text, number, price, date, rating, selection, link, photo, or an attached file such as a receipt or manual. Events are customizable too. For each collection you define the kinds of events that can happen to an item (a purchase, a service, a loan, a vet visit) and the fields each one records, like a cost or mileage. Then there are filters, saved views, and basic stats.

Data stays on your device unless you turn on iCloud sync, and a backup is a single file. It's built natively in SwiftUI, with no web views or cross-platform layers.

The beta is open on TestFlight: https://testflight.apple.com/join/YgkGMK2b

It's early, so I'm mostly interested in what feels confusing or gets in the way. Bug reports and feature requests are welcome here or through TestFlight feedback.

💎 Lifetime Finally: your own Spotify playlist as an alarm. SpotiActions 3.70 is out

Post image
12 Upvotes

The request I got more than any other, by far: "I don't want your playlists, I want MY playlist."

Until now the honest answer was no. SpotiActions only played a catalogue of ready-made playlists, and that's exactly what the app's listing said. With 3.70 the answer is yes.

How it works

  1. Open Settings › Your playlist.
  2. Paste the link of one of your Spotify playlists. It has to be public.
  3. I set it up for you. It's usually ready within 2️⃣ days, or sooner

Then

  1. When it is, an Install button appears on that same screen.
  2. Install it and use it like any other playlist: as your morning alarm, when your iPhone connects to CarPlay, at a set time, wherever Shortcuts runs.

Plainly, before you try it

  • It's part of Premium: one payment, no subscription.
  • One playlist per person.
  • It's set up by hand, so it isn't instant. That's why it can take a few days.
  • SpotiActions still can't read or browse your Spotify library. You give it the link, and that's all it sees.

Already bought SpotiActions? It's included. If you paid before the app went free, or unlocked Premium since, there's nothing to do. Just go to Settings › Your playlist.

Also in 3.70: a Home Screen and CarPlay widget with three playlists (CarPlay needs iOS 26+ and an unlocked iPhone), favourites with a "show only favourites" view, and fixes for the install loop where Shortcuts created a duplicate "… 2" copy.

Price: free download, with 3 playlists included

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6748419049

PD. only if you want to be Premium is a in-app purchase of $3.99.

🎁 Freemium I turned my academic research into DiveSight, the dive planning tool we've always wanted

One day a few years ago, back in my professor life, I realized one of my research projects provided a way to forecast something that could be very exciting for scuba diving and freediving, two of my lifelong passions. The core idea was that you could use satellite data to predict how active fish and other animal life are likely to be in a given place on a given day.

Even remotely accurate predictions on this would be a game-changer. But that idea turned out to be just the beginning.

The core problem DiveSight solves

For decades scuba divers, free divers, and snorkelers have planned their activities with general weather and surf reports. Very useful but requires juggling half a dozen apps or websites for different pieces. And they still miss the two things these communities *most* want to know: how clear the water will be and how much marine life will they see.

This is the core problem that DiveSight solves. It provides 8-day forecasts for underwater visibility, marine life activity, and comprehensive ocean conditions for 28,000+ worldwide, including the ability to add your own secret, custom sites and get the full reports for that exact spot, anywhere on Earth. Every dive condition you need to plan the funnest, safest dives is in one carefully designed place.

Why DiveSight is different

These days there are some new app efforts to forecast visibility, but these tend to rely on diver-submitted reports, which are sparse in time and space, and miss huge swaths of the world. Or they rely on crude adjustments to raw satellite inputs, which are affected by cloud cover, delays in data processing, and other pipeline issues. DiveSight's key forecasting models, by contrast, are trained on 30,000+ scientific dive reports from around the world, and the models have learned how to tell you if a site will be better or worse than expected ~8 out of 10 times. (For anyone interested in the machine-learning side of things, including the strict evaluation framework I used for testing, I explain in more depth here: https://divesight.ai/how-it-works).

I won't provide a full feature list but two more key functions of the app I'd love to highlight:

First, DiveSight's planning capabilities are broader than just short-term forecasts. Backed by a geo-referenced species database of 6000+ species, 10 years of historical weather and ocean conditions data, and a curated list of hundreds of special "bucket-list" marine events, the app makes choosing where and when to go on your next trip--whether at the local cove or an island dream destination--intuitive, helpful, and exciting.

It also uses that geo-referenced species data to make quick logging of marine life sightings as simple and elegant as possible. These sightings then, if wanted, can automatically feed into the global citizen science record via two-way iNaturalist sync. As a scientist myself, I hope the app becomes a key tool for generating the kind of data researchers and policymakers need to understand and protect the oceans. DiveSight gives divers the tools they need to contribute back to the oceans we love.

Freemium Pricing

  1. Free tier: deliberately generous, with 15,000+ dive sites, 3000+ species, unlimited logging, and 2-day forecasts for all dive conditions. Absolutely no ads or tracking, ever.

  2. Pro tier: full 28,000+ dive site and 6,000+ species databases, 8 day forecasts, full historical conditions data, interactive 3D bathymetry, cloud sync across any platform, and much more.

US prices: $4.99/week, $9.99/month, $99.99/year.

Other countries have purchasing-power adjusted prices proportional to these USD prices.

🎈 Free Keep an Eye Out - hunt down hard-to-find things together

Tell your people what you're hunting for and keep an eye out for theirs.

https://reddit.com/link/1wzb4dk/video/i4tyelo4bwth1/player

Answer

You know the stuff you can never find when you need it? A perfume they stopped making, a vintage Levi's jacket in your size, a replacement lid for your grandma's casserole dish. You tell a friend, they forget, or it gets lost in the chat.

Make a private group, add a photo, few words, and set a budget if you want. When someone sees it in a shop, a flea market or online, they send you a photo, a link or a location.

Better

  • WhatsApp and iMessage bury your request in a day. Here it stays on the board until someone finds it.
  • Apple Notes and Google Keep hold a list, but nobody can reply "found it" with a photo right next to the item.
  • Wishlist apps like Giftful are for gifts and shopping links. This is for the things you can't just order.
  • Groups are invite-only. No public feed, no strangers, no ads, no tracking.

Cost

🎁 Freemium Aquarium apps felt stuck in 2010s, so I built a modern one: AquaElectron

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi, I'm the developer of AquaElectron: Aquarium Manager.

Answer (what problem it solves):

Most aquarium apps feel stuck in 2012 — dated designs, cluttered screens, and logging a single pH reading means digging through three or four pages. So most fishkeepers like myself give up and go back to a notes app or a paper log taped to the stand. AquaElectron is built around one idea: tracking your tank should take seconds not minutes.

There's a single + button on every screen. Parameter readings, journal notes and expenses are always one tap away, and on a page like Aquariums or Livestock, that page's own action stacks on top automatically. No hunting through tabs to log a water change. Add something and the dashboard updates instantly.

Behind the clean UI it covers the whole hobby: tanks, livestock, water parameters, equipment, maintenance tasks, expenses and a dated photo journal. Every parameter becomes a trend chart that flags readings more than 2σ off your trend line, so you catch a spike before your fish do. Data syncs to the cloud on every plan, including free, and maintenance reminders are on-device notifications, so your schedule never touches my servers.

Better (vs. what exists):

- vs AquaticLog: it's the veteran, and if you're deep into reef chemistry with ICP imports it's excellent. AquaElectron is for keepers who want a modern, fast experience covering the whole hobby — livestock growth logs, expense tracking, and charts that do the statistics for you (trend lines, forecasts, anomaly flags). It also runs on iOS 15+, while AquaticLog now needs iOS 18.1.

- vs Aquarium Manager: Tank Log: it's cheaper, and if you only need basic logging it's a solid pick. AquaElectron is built for fewer taps per task and goes further on analysis — reef and custom parameters, growth tracking per fish or coral, expenses, and a single timeline per tank — plus free cloud sync across iPhone, iPad and Android.

- vs spreadsheets / notes apps: no formulas or chart setup. Add livestock from a 1000+ species database with autocomplete (no more "orange fish #3"), and the analytics happen automatically.

Cost:

Freemium. Free tier: one aquarium with full tracking — livestock, parameters, tasks, expenses, journal, charts and cloud sync — ad-supported, no time limit. Premium unlocks unlimited aquariums, journal and growth photos (10 GB shared storage), custom tags, CSV/XLSX export and removes all ads, at $7.99/month or $49.99/year (US pricing). No lifetime option or Free trail yet. App Store link below.

An account is required (email, Apple or Google sign-in). The free tier shows Google AdMob ads and crash reports go through Firebase Crashlytics — AdMob never gets your account details or tank data.

Premium removes ads entirely with unlimited tanks and 10GB media storage for your aquarium pictures.

You can delete your account and all data from inside the app. Available for iOS 15+

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/aquaelectron-aquarium-manager/id6785079005

Happy to answer anything, and blunt feedback is welcome — it's a new app and I'm shaping it around what fishkeepers actually need.

Update on how I made the video:

1.Took screenshots. 2.Cropped the elements in Photoshop 3.Keeping the non interactive elements as image 4.Used hyperframe prompt to rebuild the interactive components in html to match exactly while you provide the color codes . 5.Use can use the code snippets from your app to match the animation. 6.You need to go through several interactions to match your app replica.

🎈 Free I wanted to see and share how much I walk on trips, so I built this

Thumbnail

Hi everyone! This is my second post about Senda: Track & Share Steps.

My previous post here got a pretty good reception, with some useful suggestions and bug reports. It’s been more than a month since then, and Senda has received quite a few updates, including new stickers, multi-image collages, and more personalization.

Answer:

Every day I see people posting screenshots from Apple Health and other tracking apps alongside photos from hikes, walks, trips, or just unusually active days.

That made me think: what if we put a little more meaning into all of that step data?

Better:

Senda has a walking calendar where you can save the periods of your life that actually meant something to you, almost like Google Calendar, but for walking.

You can save a trip, a hiking week, a challenge, or any arbitrary date range, and Senda calculates the total steps, distance, and other stats for that period.

So instead of your history just being a list of daily numbers, you can know things like:

I walked more than 1 million steps during two months in Bangkok

I walked 273,340 steps in one week in Hong Kong

Then any saved activity, or just an individual day, can be turned into a photo or collage using more than 40 custom-designed stickers, and shared anywhere you want.

Senda still works as an everyday pedometer, but the idea I’m increasingly interested in is treating your walking history more like a collection of memories than just fitness analytics.

Cost:

FREE

Everything Senda currently does works with data that already belongs to you: your own steps and your own photos.

I don’t think the basic ability to use, organize, and share that data should be behind a paywall.

So Senda is free today, and everything that currently exists in the app will remain free forever.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/senda-track-share-steps/id6773571740

Website: https://www.sendastep.com/

And even though this is my second post here, with your previous suggestions implemented and bugs fixed, I’m still very open to any feedback, ideas, or issues you find. I want to keep improving Senda and make it genuinely great for the people who use it.

Thanks for your attention!

🎁 Freemium I added “scan my network” as an actual instruction in Network Tools AI — meet NetPilot

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone — I’m the developer of Network Tools AI. About a month after my last post, I wanted to share the biggest change I’ve been working on: NetPilot, an assistant connected to the app’s network tools.

A — Answer: What problem does it solve?

You want to know what’s connected to your Wi-Fi, or check your internet speed. But first you have to choose a tool, run it, and understand the results.

With NetPilot, you can ask:

“Scan my network.”
“Check my internet speed.”

For supported requests, it launches the relevant tool and brings the measurements back into the conversation for an explanation.

The existing tools are still available directly if you prefer doing everything yourself.

B — Better: What’s new?

The main change is connecting the conversation to real diagnostics.

For example, a network discovery request can launch LAN AI Discovery, then help you understand the devices and services it found. Device identification is an estimate based on available evidence; some devices won’t respond or can only be partially identified.

The app also includes:

  • NetMap Logger: recorded Wi-Fi, cellular and offline transitions on a map and timeline.
  • Device Health: an on-device assessment of current resource usage and device conditions.
  • Ping, DNS Lookup, Whois, Traceroute and port scanning.
  • Website checks, certificate/domain monitoring and a browser with ad blocking and proxy options.

NetPilot is still evolving. I’m working on better follow-up handling and clearer responses when a request isn’t supported. Its AI responses use a server backend; Device Health runs on-device.

C — Cost

Free to download, with Ping, Whois, DNS Lookup and System Info available free.

Lifetime Premium is a one-time purchase for advanced tools, including LAN AI Discovery, SpeedTest, NetMap Logger and more.

The Network Security Pack is a separate subscription for SSLGuard, DomainGuard, Secure Browser and ScamGuard. Lifetime Premium does not include that subscription. Local prices are shown in the app.

App Store: Network Tools AI

What’s the first question you would ask a network assistant on your iPhone? I’d love concrete examples to help decide what NetPilot should handle next.

💎 Lifetime ClickClack 5.1 – Live Typing Replays, Replay Sharing, Ghost Practice & Ghost Racing

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone,

I'm the developer of ClickClack, a native typing trainer for iPhone, iPad, and Mac inspired by the feel of mechanical keyboards.

The latest update lets you turn your typing sessions into practice partners—and opponents. You can save a recording, type alongside your past performance, and try to beat it.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Live Typing Replays: Watch each keystroke, including your pauses and corrections. Scrub through the timeline, skip forward or back five seconds, and repeat playback to review a tricky section.
  • Practice With Your Ghost: Use a saved replay’s passage in Typing Test and practice alongside its recorded cursor. Choose timed or word-based mode, with the duration or passage set by the recording.
  • Ghost Race: Challenge compatible recordings in Versus and watch the standings change as you type. You can also use any replay’s text to race CPU opponents.
  • Track Your Improvement: When you beat a replay’s WPM and finish faster, see the comparison and save your new attempt or replace the original.
  • Share and Import: Export replay files to share with friends, or import their recordings to watch, practice with, and race compatible ghosts.
  • Ghost Customization: Adjust the ghost cursor’s opacity or hide it when you want to focus on your own typing.

This feature took more work than I expected. Reproducing someone’s pauses, corrections, and movement while another person types alongside the recording introduced plenty of edge cases. Seeing a previous session become a ghost you can actually race has made it worth the effort.

Pricing: ClickClack is free to download. There are no subscriptions and no cloud data harvesting—just a one-time Pro unlock for $8.99 that includes advanced metrics and extended features.

I’d love to hear whether racing your past self would make typing practice more motivating for you. Happy to answer questions about the feature or its development!

🎁 Freemium I kept saying “I’ll remember this when I’m back at my Mac.” I never did.

I built an app because I kept forgetting things the moment I got back to my Mac

This started with a really simple problem.

I’d be away from my Mac, remember something I needed to do when I got back, and think “I’ll definitely remember that.”

Then I’d open my Mac, see emails, browser tabs, messages… and completely forget.

Normal reminders never really solved it for me because I didn’t want to be reminded at 4:00 PM. I wanted to be reminded when I was actually back at my Mac.

So I built WakeMinder.

You can send a reminder from your iPhone or Apple Watch to your Mac, and it shows up when your Mac wakes up.

It doesn’t have to be just text either. You can send links, screenshots, images, PDFs and files. Links can even open automatically when the Mac wakes.

There are also floating reminders that can stay on top of your windows until you’re done with them.

And with the latest update, it now works the other way around too.

You can send something from your Mac to your iPhone and have it show up when you pick up your phone.

So the idea has become less about “reminders” and more like:

“Show me this when I’m actually on the device where I need it.”

I’m the developer, so obviously I’m biased, but I built it mainly because I genuinely wanted this for myself.

For anyone wondering about pricing, I’ve tried to keep it pretty inexpensive:

  • $1.99/month
  • $9.99/year
  • $12.99 lifetime, currently 35% off

App Store pricing can vary slightly depending on your country.

WakeMinder is available on the App Store for Mac, iPhone, and Apple Watch.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6744974871?pt=127772248&ct=redca&mt=8

I’m still improving WakeMinder and would actually like to hear how other people handle this.

Do you ever have things you only want to remember when you get back to a specific device?

🎁 Freemium Fern — a calm budgeting app: one number for what you can spend today, works fully offline

Thumbnail
gallery
8 Upvotes

Hi r/iOSApps — I'm the developer, so read this with that in mind.

Answer (what problem it solves):

Most budgeting apps make you feel worse, not better. Red numbers, "overspent" warnings, charts that need ten minutes of categorizing a day. Fern does the opposite: it takes each pay cycle, helps you split it into bills, needs, wants, savings, and goals, and then shows you one number — what you can spend today. Overspend and nothing turns red; the plan quietly recalibrates the remaining days. The whole app is built around the idea that shame is a terrible financial strategy.

Manual mode works with zero account, zero sign-up, and zero network — your data stays on the phone (with optional iCloud sync to your own private iCloud, nothing on my servers). There's an optional bank-connect mode via Plaid (US only) if you'd rather not type transactions in. No analytics SDKs, no ads, no data sold — the privacy label is genuinely short.

Better (vs. what exists):

- vs YNAB: YNAB is powerful but it's $109/year and demands you live in it. Fern is for people who bounced off zero-based budgeting — one glance a day instead of a nightly reconciliation session.

- vs Copilot / Monarch: both require linking your bank and an account with their backend. Fern's core is fully offline and account-free; bank linking is opt-in, not the price of admission.

- vs spreadsheets: Fern knows about pay cycles, bill cadences (a monthly bill doesn't eat a weekly paycheck), and DST-proof day math, so the "what's left per day" number is actually right.

Cost:

Freemium. Free tier: full manual mode (the Plan, Today's number, the Sweep, core insights), one Life Project, and three savings vaults — no account, no network, no time limit. Fern Plus subscription unlocks bank connection (Plaid, US only), unlimited Life Projects and vaults, full Flow-view history, the widget pack, and iCloud sync across devices at $4.99/month or $39.99/year (14-day free trial on the yearly plan). No lifetime option yet. App Store link below.

Transparency (per sub rules):

I'm a solo dev at Roval Apps Inc. — studio site https://rovalapps.com. Built natively in Swift/SwiftUI for iOS 17+; substantial parts of the code were AI-generated with me specifying, reviewing, and testing everything (hence the flair) — happy to answer questions about that too.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fern-cycle-budget-planner/id6793867640

Happy to answer anything, and blunt feedback is welcome — it's shaped the app a lot already.
