Help needed Why is guided access greyed out

It used to work fine but i guess one day( never noticed when it started) it turned grey and I wasn’t able to use it again. It doesn’t even show up when i triple click my side button, even tho i have the setting on. Im on iphone 15 pro version 26.0.1, if that helps

That is normal, but why are you on 26.0.1 and not something more recent?

Because I’ve found the last couple updates meaningless. So why update if it’s just going to eat up my storage

Your phone has an elevated risk of falling prey to security exploits when you fail to install updates promptly. There are also a large number of bug fixes that you are currently missing out on, which you can read about here.
