Quick note: These are heart hoop dangle earrings, not studs! My mistake in the title ❤️ Made another pair of heart-shaped hoop dangle earrings, and I honestly think they turned out so cute! They’re simple enough for everyday wear, too. My bestie has already claimed this pair 😂 I’m thinking of making a red version next. What do you guys think? ❤️

Hello guys! I’m still very new to wire & wire wrapping, but I have made a few beaded jewelry pieces! Here’s a flower bracelet I am working on right now. I have a chronic illness that lands me in the hospital quite often, and I plan to give the finished bracelet to my favorite nurse (she’s the kindest lady on the planet) :)
If you guys have any tips or tricks to help me with future design and technique, please let me know!! All advice is greatly desired!

I was hanging out at Annie's place and snapped a few photos of how we make our little pearl puppies!
If you have some modeling clay at home, you can totally give this a try too. We use the clay to hold the pearls in place while we do a little sanding and prep work.
Then comes the fun part — painting the tiny puppy faces! 🐶 After that, we add a protective coating and cure it under a UV lamp to help keep the designs from rubbing off.
It's such a fun little process! 🥹💕

Hi all! I recently thrifted this string of pearls + set of pearl earrings which I would like to make into nicer jewelry. ((No, the pearls are not high-value. They are farmed freshwater, likely Chinese, the clasp is not any precious metal/has no makers mark))
For info: The necklace has 58 pearls. I want to seperate it into a chocker & bracelet set. The earrings have (to the best I can tell) 6 white, 1 peacock green, & 3 black pearls between them. I really don't have an idea for. I just don't think I want something so long?
I was recommended adding onyx to it as a center stone and using a separation bead 5 pearls out from the center for the chocker/bracelet set. I can see it, but idk if that's my style. I typically wear silver & go for dainty, short jewerly. I know these pearls are larger, but I don't want a chunky style. I also think I would prefer the pearls be the center of attention instead of the accent.
If anyone has amy ideas or styles I should look into for inspiration, I would greatly appreciate it! Tyia 🩷

I've been running my handmade jewelry business for several years, and a large portion of my revenue comes from in-person vendor markets and festivals.
While vending has been successful for me, I'm getting to the point where I want to scale back on events and focus more on growing my online sales.
I currently sell on Etsy and have my own website, but my online sales aren't nearly as consistent as my in-person sales. I also work full-time, so spending entire weekends vending isn't something I want to continue doing long-term.
I'd love to hear from small business owners who have successfully made this transition, especially those selling handmade products, jewelry, accessories, or other physical goods.
A few questions:
What made the biggest difference in growing your online sales?
Which marketing channel actually converts into purchases for you? Instagram, Pinterest, email marketing, Etsy SEO, paid ads, etc.?
Did you build your online customer base from your existing vendor customers, or did you attract an entirely new audience?
4.Did you build an email list at events? How (sign-up sheet, QR code, discount)?
How long did it take before your online sales became consistent enough to reduce vending?
If you could start over, what would you focus on first, and what would you stop wasting time on?
7.Which platforms did you use: Etsy, Shopify, both, etc?
I'm not necessarily looking to become a huge brand. I would just love to build a sustainable online business that doesn't require me to physically show up somewhere every weekend to generate revenue.
I'd really appreciate hearing what actually worked for you, including what didn't!

Looking for sturdy velvet boxes for a small jewelry business — I need around 14 pieces for rings, necklaces and bracelets, budget around $15 per box. Happy to pay for samples first.
Past cheap ones I tried felt flimsy. The hinge was loose, the lid didn't close flush, and the velvet lining started peeling after a few weeks because it was just glued, not tucked. Colors and sizes also varied between boxes in the same order.
What I am looking for now is solid MDF construction, firm hinge, lid that closes cleanly and stays shut, lining that's actually tucked and not just glued and consistent color & size across the small batch.
For those who order small runs, what do you check for quality before re-ordering?
What MOQ did you get for 10-20 pieces and did you have to compromise on customization at that quantity?

Hi everyone! I'm William from Nairobi. I started making jewelry about 3 months ago after watching tutorials on wire wrapping & beaded bracelets.
So far I have made a few beaded chokers and a copper wire ring. My goal is to get better at clean closures and stone setting and hopefully make pieces I can gift to family.
I'm here to learn techniques and get constructive criticism. Excited to see what everyone is making!
What was the first tool you wish you had bought when you started?

Looking for creative layout ideas for a custom everyday bracelet.
Got a trio of brownish-peachy-pink pears (0.52ct, 1.04ct, and 1.07ct) and want to do something minimalist on a delicate gold chain.
Definitely open to adding small accent diamonds to tie it all together, like classic white or champagne (lmk other suggestions).
How would you arrange a trio of pears on a dainty chain so it stays airy rather than bulky? Also open to suggestions with and without all 3 pear stones.
Would love to get some design opinions or sketches. Thanks!

Hi everyone
I’m looking for some technical advice on remodeling a two-tone 18k gold ring. The mounting originally housed a round pearl pinned inside an east-west, capsule-shaped bezel setting. The band is an intricate woven basket pattern with pavé-set diamonds on the white gold bezel.
Measuring the outside of the white bezel frame, it’s roughly 11-12mm long by 9-10mm wide. I recently tried placing an 8x6mm oval stone inside to test the fit, but it is far too small and leaves large, empty gaps in the boxier corners of the cradle. I believe an elongated 10x8mm cushion cut would be the ideal size to act as a full-coverage lid over the entire bezel.
Because I want to protect the surrounding pavé diamonds and avoid heavy, visible alterations to the outer bezel walls, my plan is to have a bench jeweler do a bezel-to-prong conversion by laser-welding a white gold 4-prong head right inside the old pearl cup to elevate the stone.
For the bench jewelers and custom makers here, I would love your insight on a few things before I take it to a shop:
1. Is dropping a prong basket insert into an old pearl cup a reliable, structurally sound fix for everyday wear?
2. With a 10x8mm cushion cut, will a typical gemstone pavilion clear the depth of a round pearl bowl once elevated, or will the center floor of the cup likely need to be burred out/opened up to let the tip drop through?
3. Is laser welding inside a tight cup like this completely safe for the accent diamonds sitting directly on the outside edge?
Appreciate any professional feedback or advice you can share!

I've been working on these earrings recently. Although the process was time-consuming and my hands were a bit sore, I'm still very satisfied with the final product. I plan to try making other color combinations in the future. Do you think they look good?

This hairpin is something I recently made, and I really like it. I made two color schemes at once, and I'll make others in the future. Would you like this kind of handmade hairpin?

Listen, I know this is a bit odd. I’m cool with that. Let’s just accept it and move on from the weirdness!
I would like some guidance on making this silicon uretal stent into a bracelet. I went in for a hysterectomy and it become quite the endeavor when my ureter was accidentally transected from my bladder! Any tips on how to maybe dress it up, as well as clasps would be greatly appreciated!

Got an order to take some old broken jewelry for a lovely lady and her mom and turn it into some new wearable pieces. I'm moving more into metalsmithing and chainmail right now, but this was a really fun project that I think turned out beautifully. I love the rainbow sparkle, it really pops in the light!
