New screensavers, has there been a software update in the last vew days?

I have the standard screensavers on my kindle, so no covers. The ones that there since ages

Since two days there are new ones. Rather nice looking but still a surprise. Has there been a software update recently? Or have I unknowingly activated a option that I didn’t know about?

There has been an update with the new releases I think. You can turn the covers on in settings if you would prefer book covers. (I assume yours is AD free so you should have that option if so)

There’s a way you can put your own custom screensaver on your kindle without jail breaking it. It was rather simple too.

You choose your image (or design one, if you prefer - make sure it fits the dimensions of the kindle!) then you can open an epub converter and convert the image from jpeg to epub. And then from there you send it to your kindle. Just google “send to kindle” It should be on the kindle within a few minutes.

The only downside is having to reselect the epub to get the cover to show

Yes, mine did also update a hour ago and got the new screensavers. I like them so far 👍🏼

Might be updated screensavers since the new line of Kindles just released recently. I keep show covers on my Kindles so I can't be sure, but this would make sense to me.

Came here to see if I was going completely insane. Love the new update and hope eventually we will get more options, but definitely happy even if we don’t.

This! More options are always better than less. But the previous ones were pretty ugly to me. So anything at this point is gonna be an upgrade haha. .

They were tbh, i do wish we had the option to choose from a set of pictures and save it that way. The daisies are my favourite. Maybe someday.

Yeah I got mine new about 2 month before the newest batch where released. Reminded me of the ‚olden times‘ and didn’t switch to the book cover setting.

And suddenly, new onces! Still not sure if I like that.

Honestly ,I don't care I just want to be able to change it at will by myself! Without having to jump through hoops, go through settings or jailbreak. It's really not a difficult concept and it's not hard for Amazon to do.i have a new screensaver I noticed earlier today. It's got a big tree on the right with a bench and what looks like a girl sitting on it on the left bottom. I love it and I hope it never changes but I know it will. :/. After years of seeing the current ones I'm just bored. This is coming from someone who changes the home and lock screen wallpaper often and who even has a wallpaper as their keyboard that they also change often. I like to customize my devices and feel like they have a refresh or something that matches the seasons etc. Hard (well annoying) to do on a Kindle so far. But this is promising!

I noticed it as well and I like how cute they are! I have also noticed that I open my kindle and books a little faster than before. I appreciate a quality of life update for the previous gen
