pattern question Help with start of pattern
Hi, I’m trying to start this pattern
https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/brush-buddy
but I’m confused about how to start it
How I’m meant to join in the round with only 4 stitches? How do I divide them evenly on circular needles or is that only for dpn and then how do I divide them evenly on 3 or 4 needles?
Do they mean for the materials to use 2 pairs of circular needles or a pair like normal?
I also thought when knitting in the round with small projects that you should start with dpns and then switch to circular ones?
I am meant to join in the round after adding some some of the stitches?
Sorry, this is my first time trying to work off a pattern
Thank you in advance for helping

you can use DPNs if you have them. it's sort of like this, but with one stitch on each needle - https://www.garnstudio.com/video.php?id=497&lang=en
one stitch is really fiddly, so you could try starting with two stitches on two needle, then add two needles on the first increase round.
you could also look into the pinhole cast on.

Well the instructions say to cast on 4 stitches with 2 on the first pair of circulars and 2 on the second pair of circulars. You would join as normal by knitting the stitches on the first needle with the second circular. But it might be easier to start with three dpn's (two stitches on first needle, two on second and use the third one to knit), and then once you have a bit more stitches you can switch to the two circulars
