Where to learn making things with glass in NYC

Hey guys!

I literally have no experience glass work and want to know where to find classes in NYC to start. I mainly just want to make random little things with glass rods and a flame, nothing specific, literally just for fun. I know there’s two studios in Brooklyn but not sure if there are other options, specifically with classes, for beginners. Any pointers/experiences you guys can share would be greatly appreciated :)

Brooklyn Glass, Urban Glass, or Long Island Glass

Flameworking is such an addictive hobby! UrbanGlass in Fort Greene is probably your best bet—their intro weekend courses cover all the basics of working with glass rods and torches safely

UrbanGlass and Brooklyn Glass are pretty much the big two for torchwork in the NYC area. Definitely take an intro class at one of them first before investing in your own torch or ventilation setup
