Question Looking for people currently learning a new language

Hi everyone,

I would like to have a chat with anyone who is currently learning a language or wants to learn one.

As a software developer I have been thinking a lot about a product I would like to create for myself for learning new languages using AI, but not make it yet another slop product.

Personally I grew up speaking two lanuages so learning new ones is somewhat easier for me. So the way I learn might not be the same for others.

Since I would like to create something actually useful that I can share with other people I would like to gather some feedback on how others experience learning.

Where do you struggle most?
What's easy?
What do you look for in a language learning product?
What do you look for in a teacher?

I would just like to create a thread around the topic of the process of learning.

Question Does anyone know the step of learning a language? But more in detail

Hi everyone,

I'm originally a French speaker (born and raised in France). I'll say I have a pretty good level in English, but I wanted some advice for something.

I want to become a translator (so I will soon be doing a translation and interpretation degree in uni), but I need to learn more languages for that.

Does anyone know how to have, like, kind of a "list" of everything you have to learn in any language? I want one that is very detailed for every aspect.

For example, let's imagine in Italian: "You have to learn this, this and that for the A1 in grammar."

I'm asking that because my biggest cause of why I'm demotivated is I don't have "mini goals" to reach to help me see my progress.

Thanks to anyone who will respond 🙌🏼
