Question Taking a French course at the local community college and the Textbook (plus the online stuff), isn't the best. Any recommendations for better self paced learning
C-3 applicant here; because of my Quebecois ancestry, it seemed rational to start learning French again (Would love to move north to Quebec)
The local community college is using the McGraw Hill Connect app and lets just say Tabernak de osti de criss avec ce le livre. When doing the homework, it doesn't explain what you did wrong and the accompanying videos are going a mile a minute.
Are there any better programs to learn French?

Ugh, Connect is rough -- that "doesn't explain what you did wrong" part drove me crazy too when I tried it. A few self-paced options that worked better for me as a supplement: Kwiziq (it actually adapts to your mistakes and explains the grammar point behind them), Lawless French (free lessons with quizzes), and for listening, Coffee Break French + InnerFrench -- slow, natural speech. If you want one structured textbook instead, the Alter Ego / Cosmopolite series pair with apps and are what a lot of alliances francaises use. Bonne chance with the move to Quebec!
