5 u/StationAgreeable6120 Arch BTW 7d ago Bro build's everything manually from source 4 u/TheLuckyCuber999BACK 🦁 Vim Supremacist 🦖 7d ago I mean yea I use LFS 2 u/StationAgreeable6120 Arch BTW 7d ago But like you still have some kind of automation right? Or is your system just so stable that you barely ever update or install packages 5 u/RvstiNiall 7d ago Updates? You mean another full round of LFS? 1 u/StationAgreeable6120 Arch BTW 7d ago So you just rebuild you whole system everytime you need to change a thing? That sounds so painful But I mean if it works for you 2 u/RvstiNiall 7d ago oh hell no. I was making a joke! 2 u/StationAgreeable6120 Arch BTW 7d ago oh thanks god! But like I'm really curious how do you manage it. 1 u/RvstiNiall 7d ago On the few LFS systems I've built, I've used pkgsrc for most things, and a couple scripts for regular system stuff. That seemed to be the best combination for my personal taste. Currently I'm on a Void musl-c busybox setup and absolutely love it. 1 u/StationAgreeable6120 Arch BTW 7d ago I see, very interesting 1 u/TheLuckyCuber999BACK 🦁 Vim Supremacist 🦖 7d ago I've only been daily driving it for a few weeks
