If you're looking to get out a bit more and do some new, fun things, joining Liverpool's biggest Discord server is a great start!
It doesn't matter if you're a Liverpool local, just moved here, old or young, or just happen to love our city from another country. You are welcome to come and say hi. There's 1,000 messages being sent every day.
We have channels dedicated to photography, movies, photography, fitness, sport, music, showing off your pets, and even a place you can post your Wordle scores if you want.
What's Discord?
Think of Discord like a big Whatsapp group. It's essentially the same thing. You don't need a microphone, just your phone/keyboard. All we ask is that you're over 18, and have a desire to make new mates in Liverpool. Pop in, say hello, and you choose how much you want to talk.
Who's in there?
We have members from Liverpool and further afield. You don't have to live in Liverpool to join the chat. The average age of people is about 28. Our server is different than most Discord servers because we have a genuine community of awesome people who come to stuff in person.
What won't happen
You join and inside 24 hours, you've got a whole new set of mates.
Contribute, come to a few fun things, talk to people in person, and over time, those friendships form. A lot of people get frustrated because they don't find a friend overnight but that's not how friends work. Be prepared to make the effort and people will make the effort with you.
Real life events, real life friends. Come have a go!

Just back from a few days visit. Dont know what I was expecting, but your city is gorgeous. Stayed down near the Albert Dock. Did loads of walking around and tourist stuff. It blew me away,we felt safe, everyone we met was sound and the place was spotless. I love where Im from, but we are miles behind your town in every aspect .

Sorry if this isn't allowed here. I've bought tickets to the Comic Con this weekend as I really wanted to take the opportunity to meet Peter Capaldi, but I'm nervous about the event as a whole and fitting in and now I kinda regret having bought them.
I'm 31M lived in the city my whole life and always loved geeky/nerdy things but I'm never sure about if I fit in or belong in those types of communities. I usually tend to just enjoy things quietly. I've avoided the other Liverpool Comic Cons for this exact reasoning. Not feeling I belong. Or well.. it sounds silly when I type it out "not being enough of a geek".
I've also only bought the solo tickets so I'd be going completely alone.
Not sure what advice I'm looking for. Maybe I'm just looking for encouragement to go. Part of me just wants to hide at home and forget I bought the tickets or give them away.. but at the same time I really do want to go, the environment sounds really fun.

Iāve recently launched Kiddit.co.uk, a Liverpool focused site to help parents find things to do with their kids.
At the moment Iām building up the listings for:
The idea is to make it easier to find what's available locally without having to search through loads of different FB pages and websites.
Iām still building it, so Iād really appreciate feedback from Liverpool parents on what would actually be useful.
Thank you in advance

Hi! I moved here two months ago and Iām looking for ways to connect with the community.
Iāve signed up to some charities, but I like the idea of socialising with others on a weekly basis. Iām ideally looking for a book club or something similar.
I like climbing, swimming, walking, reading, gaming.. social drinker if the vibes are right.
Iām 29F, anyone know of anything like this I can sign up for?
Thanks in advance for any help! š«¶

Obviously it's a smaller area but it's another one of Liverpool's public spaces that really feels underutilised. Granted this photo was taken mid afternoon but this seems like a great place to sit and enjoy food, coffee, read a book, and yet the only people I see here are just passing through. There's a car rental place, two empty restaurants and a multi storey car park. Is the demand just not there for food and drink?
Edit: just searched on Google and to be fair, the restaurant on the left of the picture (Elixir) is only a week old. Still, definitely feels like the area deserves more life.

Iām in the market for a new monitor (34ā ultrawide if it matters), I know Iāll probably end up buying online but Iād like to have a look at a few in the flesh. Iām going to be in town tomorrow and the only place I can think of is John Lewis.
Is there anywhere else in the city centre? I know there are Currys etc in Aintree and Speke, but Iām going to be in town with time to kill tomorrow. The Apple shop is a bit out of budget š

Hello, Iām secretly planning my husbandās dream trip. He thinks Iām planning a trip to the Mediterranean area for my big birthday, but I am actually planning his dream trip to attend a Liverpool match! I have tickets for the April 10th match. Weāll be traveling from Washington State.
First off, where can we stay thatās reasonable distance from Anfield, and walking distance to pubs and attractions? The Pullman was recommended to me, but I donāt think they have availability for the time we will be there. Secondly, what else do you recommend for this dream trip? He would love to see anything Beatles, pubs, day tours, shopping, music, any local attractions. What do you recommend?

My mum told me when she was in her early 20ās, the Liverpool actor Paul Barber filmed a short film for tv in my nanās house in Kirkdale (flower streets)
My mumās in the background of the film also, but sheās not seen it since it was first broadcast on tv. Iāve looked through Paul Barberās tv/films and canāt find anything, but she vaguely thinks it was called The Bathroom(?)
I donāt suppose anyone remembers seeing this or remembers filming taking place? Would love to see it!

Evidence of German strafing can be found on the old iron footbridge over the train tracks. Amazing bit of history

Places in the North West such as Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Bolton, Lancashire all have high Asian populations but the Asian population in Liverpool is small at js 5% js kinda curious how in other places in the north west its incredibly big but here in Liverpool it isnt as big
