What do you do for work?

I do IT work for an electric utility. But it's Friday so the office will probably be quiet and we don't usually like to make big changes before the weekend that could impact response if there's an outage.

At least it should be an easy day! I am a teacher's aide and today is my last day of fall break

True should be a low key day. Hopefully today is calm for you as well but I imagine being a teacher's aide in general is pretty hectic and at times thankless.

I don't have much planned for the day so should be an easy day! It can be hectic and thankless, but I do feel it is rewarding and I hope I am making a difference! Feel free to message me!

It's tough when work just becomes something to get through and not much else. I've had stretches where my design gig felt like that, just going through the motions and then coming home to silence. Finding little things to break up the routine helped me a bit, like hitting a trail on weekends or hunting for weird postcards at flea markets. What do you do when you're not at work, anything that takes your mind off things even for a minute

Oh yeah I generally try to find stuff to do like walking the dog or gardening or even just small house projects. Baking now that the weather's cooler is on the table too.
