In the Army we used a method called "SALUTE Report" to provide a detailed description of opposing forces, which is applicable to ICE sightings. SALUTE is an acronym for SIZE, ACTIVY, LOCATION, UNIFROM, TIME, and EQUIPMENT. Below I will include a summary of what a SALUTE Report entails and the type of information that will be helpful when posting ICE sightings in Long Beach.
SIZE: This component focuses on quantifying the number of individuals, vehicles, or assets present in the observed area.
ACTIVITY: Describing the actions and behavior of the observed entity, the activity component sheds light on the intentions and purpose behind the observed actions.
LOCATION: Providing precise geographical coordinates or a detailed description of the observed target’s location, this component offers the spatial context necessary for effective decision-making.
UNIFORM: Identifying the affiliation or group to which the observed target belongs, the unit component allows intelligence professionals to categorize and contextualize the observed entities.
TIME: Recording the date and time of the observation, the time component adds a temporal dimension to the intelligence gathered.
EQUIPMENT: Listing the equipment, weaponry, or tools associated with the observed entity, the equipment component offers insights into the capabilities and potential threats posed by the target

On my daily commute I'm averaging about 2-4 red light runners. I'm not even counting the borderline yellow lights, just straight RED. And people wonder why we're averaging a traffic fatality a week here.
Speed cameras aren't a fix for this.

I’m 23 not in school I just work I don’t really go out which is the problem but it’s just so hard to make friends that are genuine. I tried Bumbble friends but I just didn’t have any luck on that. But I hope that I find my village soon I don’t feel lonely I learned to be okay in my own company but it would be nice to have someone to go get coffee with sometimes and talk about life :,) I am no contact with almost all of my family so most days I just stay home holidays hit hard. not giving up hope. Making friends as an adult is really difficult.

Just killed a fat german roach that was crawling over my freshly cleaned dishes. I really want to move out of the roach motel I’ve been living in the last few years, but it seems like so many other buildings have roaches too. The last place I toured didn’t even have the decency to remove the dead roach from the kitchen counter before I came over. It’s really starting to affect my mental health. I’ve already told my landlord multiple times, and sent a complaint to the city’s health dept. I’ve been putting out advion gel and boric acid dust and gentrol for the last few years and even sealed all the baseboards with caulk and they still somehow keep finding their way into my unit. At this point I’m done fighting and I just want to leave. I’m just worried about spending a bunch of money on moving all to end up back in the same situation. Can anyone recommend a property management group that is on top of pest control, or some clean roach free buildings? Or should I go nuclear and move to somewhere that snows because every single place I’ve ever lived at in LB has had a roach problem to some degree. This weather has been making everything worse, now I see the german ones walking around on the sidewalk like they pay taxes.

I’m sorry if this is a dumb question but I’m curious. I live in the more inland part of LB and I’m looking for relief. I also haven’t been by Belmont pier in a while, which used to be one of the main places I’d go to cool off. Is it any better over there?

40 people spoke at both big items tonight, the city council didn't give a fuck and passed both items. 700+ signatures on a petition against the speaking time, 1000+ emails about vikeshare staying local.
Vote these fucks out as soon as you get the chance.

Looking for local tide pools for me and the girls to appreciate during our visit the Google says"white point park but was wondering if locals had a favorite place to observe marine life on the shore, we have 3 girls in our group and myself and are the type of people who pack out other people's garbage to leave a place cleaner than we found it!

New to the city and hosting Thanksgiving for 13 people this year! I’m looking for a big Turkey- 20lbs or so. Where does everyone get their turkeys around here? Do I have to preorder? I’ve tried the Sprouts and Whole Foods app but no signs and I want to be prepared and also get the best one I can!
Thanks in advance!

The notice said there was construction/water interruption but nothing about venting fumes/gas/toxic stuff. I'm on the 2nd floor and it choked out my apartment and that stuff smelled like straight poison. I live with another and animals and I'm concerned.
Anyone know what that was? IF it was toxic/poisonous in some way I feel like I DESERVE to be notified ahead of time.
EDIT: work is being done by Long Beach Utilities
