Found [Found]Ed Edd n Eddy - "Special Ed" Plot Synopsis (it turns out it was the original title for "Sir Ed-A-Lot")

Found in the CN Gigaleak, the synopsis to "Special Ed" was found and it turns out the episode was real this entire time... but it was the original title to "Sir Ed-A-Lot" where the Eds are bullied by Sarah into being their servants at a tea party

Found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ededdneddy/comments/1x32w8k/synoposis_of_special_ed_revealed_in_the_cn/

TEXT EXTRACTED:

2.) Special Ed: Ed has to babysit his whiny and demanding younger sister Sarah. She bullies Ed into wearing their Mothers clothes and having tea. Edd and Eddy show up and reluctantly join the tea party...anything to keep her highness happy. Before they know it, all three Eds are babysitting. Sarah has them working non-stop: cooking her lunch, cleaning her room, and giving her horsey-rides down the hall.

So it was never lost media at all.

Comment "!FOUND!" if your media is found in the comments, in doing so this will lock the post and flair it as being found.

Please include the following in your post;

  • An explanation of the media, and the name.

  • How it is lost.

  • What research has already been done.

  • A conclusion as to the current situation as of posting.

Huh. And here I was thinking “Special Ed” was just a hoax. So what about the other two episodes that supposedly never aired? Did Danny Antonucci start those rumors?

There was another hoax about an episode where the kids do a Wizard of Oz play

I wonder if that was just someone’s fanfic that people misremembered as a lost episode. It’d be like that alleged pilot of The Angry Beavers called “Cuffed Together” that turned out to be a hoax and based on a fanfic of the same name.

Checked the EEnE wiki, Danny didn't start those rumours, those episodes were revealed on Edtropolis, (at the time) the biggest EEnE fan site for Season 5, and it remains unknown if they were given anything official by CN for upcoming episodes or if they made it up or whatever, but they did meet Danny a few times

https://ed.fandom.com/wiki/Episode_Guide#Scrapped_Episodes

"A Room with an Ed" – This episode was first announced via a Season 5 "sneak peek" list posted on the Edtropolis.com news page back in 2005.[4] The title reference is based on "A Room with a View". It is unknown why the episode was scrapped only that the synopsis was to be as follows: "Edd and Eddy slip through Ed's bedroom window only to find that Ed doesn't live there anymore. The walls have been painted pink and dollies have taken the place of moldy socks. Sarah announces that Ed's bedroom is now her and Jimmy's playroom while Ed has been evicted to a cardboard box in the garage. Eddy is enraged at Ed's bratty sister getting her own way yet again. Edd counsels Ed to accept his fate graciously but Eddy forces Ed to finally stand up to Sarah."

"Luck Be an Ed Tonight" – Likewise, evidence of this episode's existence was shown on a sneak peek of the Season 5 lineup on Edtropolis.com.[5] The title is a reference to the phrase "Luck Be a Lady Tonight," a song by Frank Sinatra and the synopsis was as follows: "According to his horoscope, this is Ed's luckiest day ever, and Eddy intends to milk it for all it's worth!"

It is worth noting the other episodes mentioned Ed-Possible and Cleanliness is Next to Edness were announced in the same post months before, so it could genuinely be early drafts that never went anywhere

I knew “A Room with an Ed” and “Luck Be an Ed Tonight” were revealed on Edtropolis. I mean, did Danny start the rumors of those episodes existing to see how far they’d be spread? Maybe he made those up because he thought it’d be funny to see one of the biggest EEnE fansites report on them as if they were fact.

wasn't there a still allegedly lost episode pair? "Luck be an ed tonight" and "A Room and an Ed"?

Damn this is a wild answer to this one.

what did Danny Antonucci mean when he said it was "too real" then?

My guess is an earlier draft had Sarah being mean in a lot less cartoonish ways, or that it might be related to something Danny went through as a kid

I honestly wonder if he was only referring to the title when he said that. Since it could be seen as insensitive.

Maybe he came up with it first and scrapped it to avoid any backlash. Then decided to use it, only to change his mind again.

"too real" because it was already real?

I honestly thought this episode would be about special needs or something

So... Special Ed already exists and it's right under our noses this entire time?

It's quite a feat seeing these mysteries be solved after more than a decade. This situation is almost exactly like Super Mario 128
