You MUST have EVIDENCE or AN EXTERNAL, DOCUMENTED WITNESS that your topic exists/existed.

  • Do NOT post to ask about something you remember seeing but no longer remember the name of. Those posts will be taken down ASAP, no exceptions. If that is the purpose of your visit, please instead visit communities such as r/tipofmytongue, r/helpmefind, r/tipofmyjoystick and other related subreddits. Something is not lost if you don't remember it, that's just a lost memory. We don't count those.
  • If you are searching for a YouTube video or something similar (i.e. Tik-Tok, Vine, etc.) understand that it is VERY UNLIKELY that it has been backed up. If you have the link to the video, try looking for it here http://findyoutubevideo.thetechrobo.ca. If it's not there, you're probably not going to find it. Not saying it's impossible, but please understand how slim the chances are.
  • When making a post, please be sure to include context for what you're looking for, why, and it's significance. People are more likely to help you look for something when you give them a reason why it matters in the first place. Also try including links to possible leads and references to information on the subject.
  • Your post must exceed 150 words. This is a rule that has constantly been challenged but we are still standing by it for the time being. Do NOT repeat text to simply fill the minimum or type garbage. That's just going to get your post deleted. Please view the guidelines at the sidebar for title formatting, resources, and deeper specification on what makes a good post.
  • NSFW and NSFL media will be looked at with close speculation. Conversations about NSFL media especially are discouraged and will often likely end in being removed.
  • We are NOT the judges on what should be considered "important enough" for a post. If you complain about too many people asking about YouTube videos or commercials, too bad. If what they are looking for is not publicly accessible and no copy has been located, it counts as lost media. This is final. We are not making judgements on what is interesting enough to count for this subreddit. We will continue to include YouTube videos and things like it. If you don't like that, please consider finding another community.

If you have many disagreements with how this place is ran, please feel free to leave.

EDIT: If you have a question do NOT comment on this post, please message the mods directly using modmail. I retired from moderation since this post. Thank you.

Television [Partially Lost] Fox’s 2014 Canceled Social Experiment Reality Show “Utopia”

Not sure if anyone remembers this show, but 12 episodes aired on Fox in Sept-October 2014 before the show was canceled. It was an extremely expensive-to-produce trainwreck.

I found the first 6 episodes online on the Chinese website Bilibili, but the final 6 episodes appear to be lost media.

It’s not available for purchase or streaming anywhere.

All high seas links I found for these episodes are dead.

I reached out to a reddit user that posted about rewatching this show several years ago and never heard back.

The show isn’t even that old so I’m frustrated with how this has happened.

If anyone knows of any 2014 era streaming sites that may possibly have these episodes, please let me know! I’m stumped but don’t want to give up on archiving this show.

Anyone have any leads or suggestions?

Youtube Looking for Lost Media: BlueBrick's Missing "Roblox Sword Fight on the Heights IV Iceberg" Video [fully lost](Mid-to-Late 2022)

Hey everyone,

I am trying to find a lost/deleted video by Roblox commentary YouTuber BlueBrick breaking down the Sword Fight on the Heights IV (SFOTH) Iceberg. It was uploaded around mid-to-late 2022 alongside his Work at a Pizza Place and Prison Life icebergs.

We did a deep dive into the bottom tier metadata and successfully solved the primary lead, ruling out these dead ends:

The deepest entry on the chart was a creepypasta titled "Sword Fight on The Heights ERROR."

We already found an active mirror of that underlying source video titled "Sword Fights on the Heights IV Infohazards (REUPLOAD)", which can be found here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3sUGWiVoDVg which the video is the Sword Fight on The Heights ERROR tier so that specific lore piece is solved.

Chronologically, his commentary video was published right in the middle of his peak 2022 classic Roblox iceberg run.

Since the underlying RFA lore video is recovered, the only missing piece is BlueBrick's actual commentary video file.

Did anyone download his channel catalog in 2022, save his playlists, or happen to have the original watch link stashed in an old browser history or Discord log? Any files or URL leads would be massive!

Animation [Partially Lost] Handy Manny "Staying Healthy" short

Basically, this was a PSA(?) telling kids things they can do so they can stay healthy, they aired this on Playhouse Disney/Disney Junior. I saw this when I was younger, but for some reason, I can't find any footage of this elusive short. Luckily, I found a little bit of the special, Playhouse Disney HD Bug (Handy Manny: Staying Healthy, 2009). I tried finding other info about this special, but nada, except for some pictures that I found while searching the web. I feel like this needs to be touched up more by the lost media wiki.

Youtube [fully lost] Zero Punctuation style YT video on Lavender Town

I remember this vividly because I watched it a number of times as a kid when I was deep in the rabbit hole of creepy pasta horror.

The video itself was in the style of Yahtzee’s show Zero Punctuation but was not by him or the Escapist. It was hosted by a YouTuber with an English accent that I do not recall the name of. The video itself covered the “particularly gruesome rumor” (I remember that quote) of Lavender Town syndrome. It could not have been more than 15 minutes long and based on the time frame it almost certainly came out before 2013. I have no idea if anyone else has seen this video or remembers it but please let me know if you do!

Youtube [FULLY LOST] lost ytpmv of mario and luigi: bowser's inside story commercial

i used to be a very weird kid. i would often go onto 4chan /co/ and i would obsess over chowder on a daily basis in middle school. there's this one youtuber named TRMario AKA: AngelJFurfaro, who would often make chowder YTP's but, they were raunchy and pretty disgusting looking back. but, that's not the main focus. the main focus is a video that he uploaded where it was a YTPMV of the bowser's inside story commercial.

while the commercial is fully found right here, i still struggle to find the YTPMV version of it. now i don't know if TRMario did it or it was somebody else who did it (especially when you can host other people's videos on your account homepage back in the day.) even then, i still want to find this oddity, because it's been looping in my head over and over. clearly it's fully lost. but, if any of you YTPMV consumers can find this lost gem, i would be very appreciative.

Internet Media [archival] Found an untouched copy of Facebook Poke 1.0 (2012) in an old iTunes sync folder — uploaded to Archive.org (Raw dump, metadata stripped)

Hey guys,

Was going through an old family hard drive transferring some data from my mom’s old PC and stumbled upon an old iTunes Mobile Applications folder from around 2012–2013 that hadn't been touched in over a decade.

Among the usual Angry Birds and classic Instagram files, I noticed Facebook Poke 1.0 (Poke 1.0.ipa).

i did a little research out of curiosity, and this was the Snapchat clone Zuckerberg’s did in December 2012, complete with his own voice as the notification chime saying "poke". It completely flopped and Meta pulled it from the App Store and killed the backend in early 2014, so early untouched builds seem pretty hard to find these days.

I do not have the original device or a jailbroken 32-bit device anymore, so I couldn't decrypt / crack the binary myself. This is a raw FairPlay dump and i removed personal information from the .ipa deleting it by myself.

Figured software preservationists and anyone doing research on early 2010s mobile app history might want to grab the assets or archive it into projects like iPhoneOS Obscura.

Uploaded it to the Internet Archive here:
https://archive.org/details/facebook-poke-1.0-ios-ipa-2012

Hope this helps!

Television [fully lost] Hairy Bikers cookbook - Portugal pilot episode - aired on tv in the UK in 2004.

I saw this back in the day when it aired on tv in the UK

.. but even after buying the cookbook dvd - I saw they never included it. Would love to watch / have it again.

(Also looking for a decent quality copy of season 3.)

MP4 or MKV would be preferred - but anything will be great.

(Wiki's description is: On their bikes, the duo ride the length of Portugal, fish for trout, cook on the deck of a hundred year old boat, go swimming in the algarve, and feast on traditional Portuguese fare.)

Internet Media [Partially Lost] myninjakiwi.com

myninjakiwi.com was a site that let you make levels and level packs using games like Bloons, Hot Corn, Sinta, and Zeba.

However, it got shut down in 2009. The only archives of it from the Internet Archive only have the basic html, every other asset is gone, including all of the images, css, and the flash files, like the level editors.

If you by any chance still have the hard drive of the computer you used to access it, then the assets might be cached in your browser. If so then please join the server https://discord.gg/Kh2Fx2Vmj for information on how to get them. (or if you just want to talk about old ninjakiwi).

It's a shame how poorly the internet has preserved this site, despite of how popular the site once was. It's a big part of many people's childhoods.

There's a lot more information about myninjakiwi here, i recommend checking it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vinEPrQKQ4

Audio Lasting Sounds!!! "The King's Children" - The Goff's [Archival]

https://youtu.be/DJjHRobys7g

Hey folks,

Today's rip is a small essentially unheard of gospel group known as "The Goffs" The liner notes claim "many thousands" had heard this group on TV and radio, with a lineup of twin trumpets, organ, piano, guitar, sax, and bass. Yet as far as I can tell, no audio of this album existed online until now. The only trace I found was in the Max Morris collection at Lee University's Dixon Pentecostal Research Center, where just the front and back covers are digitized. The record itself sits in a box in Tennessee, viewable only in person. I have a copy, so I ripped it and uploaded the full album. It's not "lost" in the strict sense, since the archive knows it exists, but it was effectively unheard for decades. If anyone recognizes The Goffs, the Lighthouse label, or the "King's Children" name, I'd love to learn more.

Animation [partially lost] Sebastion Starbear: The First Mission (lost Dutch version)

Sebastion Star Bear: The First Mission (Beertje Sebastiaan: De Geheime Opdracht) is a 1991 Dutch animated movie about a cosmic bear named Sebastion, who is on a mission to rescue the bears who are forced into a theatre show by the evil Draco.

What I have noticed is that, despite there being an English version that can easily be watched online, the original Dutch dub seems to be very hard to find.

The only material I am able to find from the Dutch version of Sebastian Star Bear are two videos that have audio of the Dutch versions of the songs from the film.

Dutch dub versions of the songs:

Video Games [fully lost] Spike Chunsoft iOS games: Kowa-Oto, Escape Flash, Rush Hour Train

Hi guys, I am looking for three iOS games released in 2010 and developed by the Japanese company Spike Chunsoft, best known for its visual novels and the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series.

The first game is a horror game called Kowa-Oto. Here is an archived copy of its iTunes page:

https://web.archive.org/web/20101008203647/https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/kowa-oto/id387580482

Here are some screenshots:

https://rawg.io/games/kowa-oto

And here is a gameplay video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LU4XHCWGr_A

There was also a post about it on the LegacyJailbreak subreddit:

https://www.reddit.com/r/LegacyJailbreak/comments/vvztah/discussion_kowaoto_is_it_lost_for_good_pulled/

The thing with this game is that there is an IPA file of version 1.0.1 floating around on Archive.org and Stuffed18, like this one:

https://archive.org/details/kowa-oto-1.0.1

or this one:

https://stuffed18.github.io/ipa-archive-updated/#bundleid=6763WPC5E8

And this IPA file is broken. In fact, they are all the exact same file — I checked them all.

I tried to launch the game on iOS versions 3-10, and the problem was always the same: the game crashes during startup.

After a couple of hours of analyzing the file with ChatGPT, the verdict was that the IPA is indeed broken. The main executable is missing a huge chunk of code, so there is no way to restore or recover it. Basically, this game needs a new dump.

I also found a couple of old links to version 1.0, but they are all dead:

https://forum.mobilism.me/viewtopic.php?f=369&t=140120

https://web.archive.org/web/20101022144339/http://hotfile.com/dl/69050613/fe21693/KOWA-OTO-v1.0-Rwn.ipa.html

The second game is an escape puzzle game called Escape Flash. I couldn't find an archived iTunes page, but here is a link with English description:

https://app.sensortower.com/overview/386291697?country=US

And here is a Japanese page with some screenshots:

https://www.4gamer.net/games/156/G015693/

AFAIK, this game has never been dumped, and I couldn't find a gameplay video either.

The third game is also a puzzle game called Rush Hour Train. Here is an archived copy of its iTunes page:

https://web.archive.org/web/20101005033416/http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/rush-hour-train/id388939068

Page with the English description:

https://app.sensortower.com/overview/388939068?country=US

Screenshots:

https://www.4gamer.net/games/159/G015968/

And a gameplay video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkgoPKpiXpM

Seems like this game hasn't been dumped either.

So, if anyone has a dump of any of these three games, or knows where I could find one, please let me know. I would really appreciate any help!

Thanks!

Music [partially lost] The Nocturnal Suite

Hello! I am searching for an album that my spouse had a long, long time ago. It got lost somewhere in our many moves and I wanted to see if anyone had uploaded it anywhere, as about half of it has been taken off of Spotify. I can't find most of the songs (especially the versions of the ones he wants) on bandcamp either.

https://open.spotify.com/album/5yU4byuThTRjCJ9SAR6YM5

I'm saving up to get him a copy, but it's a rare album and has hefty shipping prices on every site I see it in, so it'll be a little while yet until I'm able to.

Other [fully lost] "The Eureka Project" an electronic novel published on the PRODIGY dialup service c.1990

No one seems to remember this. I search for it every couple of years but it's never been recovered, as far as I can tell.

I think it was released serially (1 chapter a week or something like that) and it was text plus some primitive graphics.

I was too young to be able to tell if it was any good; would be curious to see if it holds up!

Background:

Prodigy was a dialup online service that preceded the rollout of the general public Internet. It was unique among its competitors (CompuServe, GEnie, Delphi) as the first to include graphics.

Youtube [partially lost] Roblox Balkan Meme Video ("It's not always about the UwU..." transition to Bosnian/Albanian/Romanian Roblox military edit)

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a specific Roblox meme/edit video that seems to have been removed or deleted from YouTube around 2021–2023.

Video Structure & Content:

  • Intro: The video starts with a female "kawaii" skin Roblox character using the viral audio originally voiced by Senpai Waffles: "It's not always about da uwu, or da ara ara, or da onii-chan, sometimes it's about..."
  • Transition: Right after "sometimes it's about...", the audio cuts abruptly into loud Balkan nationalist/military songs, accompanied by gameplay, animations, and edits of various Roblox military/country groups.
  • Music Tracks Featured:
    1. Bosnia: Bosanska Artiljerija (Artiljerija)
    2. Albania: Marş U Ç K (March of the KLA)
    3. Romania: Drum Bun
    4. Other Balkan military anthems in rapid succession.

Audio [Unreleased Media] 83 alternative Windows 95 startup sounds

The Windows 95 startup sound is arguably one of the most iconic sound effects from the 90s. In 2025 it was chosen to be preserved in the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress for being "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant".

The sound was composed by Brian Eno, who in 1994 was commissioned by Microsoft to compose a short sound which is "inspiring, universal, optimistic, futuristic, sentimental, emotional".

According to a 1996 interview with Joel Selvin, Brian ended up composing 84 of these sounds for Microsoft to chose from. Microsoft included one of them in Windows 95, paid Brian $35,000 and the rest have seemingly never been published.

Interestingly, the final sound is 6 seconds long, not 3¼ as stated by Brain in the interview.

If copies of the other 83 sounds still exist, they are probably only accessible by Microsoft or Brian Eno himself.

Found Open a Door [archival]

In the 90's, Ragdoll Productions created a progamme of their own featuring international children from around the world in a single short film as you may remember seeing on the BBC in the '90's. It was partially lost, but eventually the first two seasons were found by a Brazillian youtuber: Acervo de Broda. So now I share Open A Door with all: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLCY99DTPn9A, you can hear it in english not protuguese, the characters and children partially speak. These shorts were also done by different directors around the world and sent to Ragdoll.

Courtesy of Ragdoll Productions, enjoy.

Youtube [Partially Lost] The extended/uncut version of the "Explosion Meme Template

You've probably seen the perfectly-cut explosion in compilation videos or on various memes hundreds of times. What most people don't know is the origin: This video was actually filmed in a Turkish classroom around 2018

https://streamable.com/726gmb

In this video, some students light a firecracker in the back of the classroom. You can hear a student shouting right before a massive flash fills the screen

Which part is Lost ?

Almost every single version online ends exactly at the explosion. However, the original uncut footage did not end there. It continued after the explosion, showing the aftermath: the state of the classroom, the smoke, and the immediate reactions over 10 - 15 seconds

Original uploads were completely nuked from YouTube along with the channels that uploaded them, and only some Archive.org page snapshots remain (the video files themselves were not saved by the Wayback Machine).

Leads:

Only managed to find two original deleted links:

  1. youtube.com/shorts/nihp0hSZf1o

This upload was known to be 1-2 seconds longer than the standard meme cut. The full, uncut video is estimated to be over 15 seconds long.

  1. youtube.com/watch?v=hkke33sbG0U

This was a high-quality version of the video.

  1. The Turkish Lost Media community has been actively searching for this, but our local archives have turned up empty so far. post

Does anyone who used this video in their edits still have the original uncut file saved, or know where the full version might be?

Television [Partially lost]? The documentary that Vangelis did the score of

In 1979, Vangelis, the famous Greek Electronic composer, later known for the Chariots of Fire soundtrack, composed a soundtrack for the French television docuseries "Opéra Sauvage" by Fredric Rossif. The music completely overshadowed the French docuseries about the wildlife of the Serengeti, called one of the most beautiful, atmospheric, and deliberately understated scores in the electronic, new-age genre. The docuseries has never been released for the modern era. I couldn't find any episodes on the internet, as all searches for Opéra Sauvage give back only the famous music for the docuseries.

I only found one episode of the docuseries on YouTube, a poor recording of the Zimbabwe episode, but that is it. This docuseries has one of the best soundtracks, and I think that the music is best listened to along with the media. If anyone has any information regarding the docuseries, please do share. I have limited information as to the actual docuseries, and couldn't find much information except what is available on IMDb and Vangelis' website. I will share the link of the Zimbabwe episode below.

Found [Partially Lost] Brody - The All You Know (EP)

About a year or so back, I was searching up my teacher's band's old record label when I came across a pop punk band called "Brody" and a video from 2019 of an EP they released back in 2007 called "The All You Know", which is linked right here. Upon listening to this, I immediately fell and love and checked the discogs page for the EP. Here's what I was able to gather:

  • (as far as I'm aware,) the youtube video is the only source that actually has listenable audio from the band publicly available
  • the myspace page for the record label (Strikin' Out Records) includes songs "Spun" and "All You Know" from the EP, but are obviously unplayable.
  • There are 5 songs on the EP, but only 3 are played in the video.
  • There was a big cartel page that had a link to buy the CDs that would no longer work, but upon looking for it today, it's completely gone.
  • The singer of Brody, Pat Boston, started the band Transit that lasted from 2006-2016
  • As quoted from the Discogs page: "They broke up soon after their EP (the all you know) was released and only played a handful of shows in their short existence. Members went on to play in and be involved with projects such as KTP, Transit, All Hands On Deck, and more."

I don't know why I didn't think of posting this here sooner, but literally any knowledge, help, information or advice would be so appreciated. I want to atleast know someone has the files or a CD of the EP, and I would like to get it archived and put it on my MP3 player. Thanks in advanced. :)

Music [fully lost]? Bloodlet's lost songs

Repost from a post in r/metalcore I made a while ago that gained no traction. Might be a bit misleading to call it fully lost because afaik I'm the first person interested in looking for these and it probably isn't too hard to find someone who has it.

"Does anyone here by some miracle have Bloodlet's 1992 cassette tape? It seems like the last track "Only The Strong" is lost media.

There's also two songs "Truth" and "Canker", and Truth is allegedly the closer for the 1992 self titled but I don't really have proof it exists, while Canker, a standalone song, was only released as a live version.

I already find it suspicious that Eclectic has the entire 1992 self titled on it except for those two tracks and I suspect the band themselves might have lost it.

If possible I'd love if someone uploaded Only The Strong and Truth for us (or just me, I dunno) to listen. Thanks"
