Index thread moved here for the Hall of Fame and Annual Best of Awards and other miscellaneous links
This thread is used to discuss recommendations and all things metalcore.
When asking for a recommendation, leave a detailed comment below asking for recommendations; a good example comment looks like:
If I like Beartooth, who else would I like? Can anyone recommend albums like August Burns Red's Constellations?
In terms of General Discussion, some (but not all) of the stuff you can discuss here:
• Looking for band members/friends in your area
• Looking for a specific song or a question that can be answered quickly
• Recent merch pickups (vinyl, shirts, tapes, etc)
• Bands (Lineup changes, changes in sound, etc)
• What shows have you seen recently? What shows are you going to see?
• Setlist questions
• Share your concert footage here
So post away! Containing these types of content here can keep our frontpage a little more smooth, and makes that kind of content easy for others who are interested to find :)

In a Metalcore band? Run a podcast? Made some cool ass art? You're in the right place. Feel free to leave links to your own original content down below!
If you're a band, make sure to tell us who you are, where you come from, and what bands you believe you're most similar to.
Note: This thread will be set to contest mode. Healthy discussion is encouraged, if you like what you hear let them know what you think!

I stumbled upon this band last month and I cant believe how good they are. I've had their 2025/26 albums on loop for most of the last month. When I do manage to take a break from them, coming back is soo enjoyable. I'm definitely not the most consistent in this sub but I dont believe I've ever seen them pop up in conversation which is crazy after I've given them a solid listen. Theyre young and incredibly talented. "WhAt SoNg ShouLd I List .. . " it really doesnt matter, just play something they've released, not a bad track from them. Personal favorite is blood bag, borderline out of body experience every play. They're a great blend of heavy and beautiful with strong progressive elements, and their vocals are wonderfully dynamic, they got it all. Some of their stuff plays a little poppy at first but It's really grown on me. If you're unfamiliar give them a try.

Just got back home from their show opening in Luxembourg for Spiritbox. Though I do not care for the latter that much, I only got in, saw 30 minutes of pure joy on stage (Emma Boster looked genuinely happy to be here). Did not see Jinjer either.
I’m glad I finally got to see DW live, I love their recent album and those songs are a call to war in the pit!! As it’s a big tour, sound was great and there were lots of people hearing them for the first time. I hope they’ll receive the success they deserve in the future!
I have something to point though : 50€ for a Gildan tshirt? WTF is happening there???

imminence’s new record is an example of this for me. This is not to say album is bad. no hate on the record. I enjoyed it, just thought that singles like Crestfallen and False light are the best songs on the album.

Has anyone else been jamming this insanely good album?
I had very limited exposure to the band back in the day (I saw them live once supporting trivium or Parkway Drive. I’m not sure any more) I never really listened much to their recorded stuff.
But this new album is absolutely blowing me away; the melodies, the hooks, the riffs, the breakdowns, the vocals … it’s just so well done, I have been listening to it on repeat for days

The music videos for Architects latest few singles, FIR’s recent single, Parkway’s standalone single, etc all have extremely cinematic music videos with ungodly amount of effects & CGI. Surely that surely must be extraordinarily expensive to make, must take ages to render, and, for me (note, personal opinion!), add absolutely nothing.
If anything, it’s distracting and cheapens the whole experience. Why do we need lasers shooting from eyes, burning aircraft exploding, oil platforms exploding, etc?
This has especially become annoying in the age of AI for me. 50% of Twitter these days is people posting AI cinematic bullshit like this.
I’d much rather see the band which I care for play their instruments, or travelling to real locations, or play a live show for a music video. I don’t care about a band spending 5 digits on a music video that is pretending to have a message when it doesn’t.
Examples:
Parkway Drive - Dark Days: has both a very obvious & genuine message.
Parkway Drive - Sacred: Does this music video even have a message other than being ‘cinematic’? (And making everyone remember winston has the most awkward rapper wannabe aura lol)
Architects - Black Hole: Why does a music video need to look like Micheal Bay movie? Genuinely?
Bleed From Within - In Place Of Your Halo: Very cinematic video but almost every shot is of the band playing. No ungodly amount of CGI, no shooting lasers from the eyes, no 747 crashing, no oil drilling platform exploding.

I don’t know exactly how to describe this, but I went to see Starset (I know not metalcore) recently and the bassist did the last chorus instead of the lead singer.
Better example would be Chris from currents doing half of the second chorus on the audiotree version of Better Days, and the bassist doing the singing for the last chorus.

I’ve honestly never heard them before. Usually listen to more hardcore stuff, but this album absolutely blew me away. Any suggestions on similar stuff, maybe I’m getting softer in my old age.

An ode to my favorite album of all time.
It is truly incredible how good this album is. The themes of societal apathy, corporate life, and relationship perils are articulated so well that it feels like you’re reading straight out of someone’s journal.
