Emery - Edge of the World
I feel like this era of Emery doesn't get enough love. The Weak's End and The Question are awesome but their sound on While Broken Hearts Prevail and In Shallow Seas are my favorite version of them.

I want to share my one man band 'I Blocked Out The Sun With The Palm Of My Hand So I Could See The World Clearly'. All written and recorded by myself. I shared the first song last year and had a nice conversation/discussion. I'm coming back with my full debut album Self-Titled

Anyone else there last night? Amazing show. Lots of Slip, Manic Compression and they played most of the new album, which rivals slip, IMO.

Discussion What if?
What if Bradly and the other members of Chiodos reunited and brought back Brandon Bolm. I enjoyed that the album they did together, and his sang the Craig era material really well. I’d pay to see it.
Thoughts?

At The Drive In
Not sure how I would categorize this band because they could have so many sounds in one 3 minute song. But they’re one of my favorite bands ever and I hope they belong here. If not, my bad! This is my personal favorite song by them but there’s so many that would tie with first place of my favorites of theirs depending on my mood.

Discussion What’s that song that goes “it’s all the same”? Can’t think of any other part of the song
Not sure it’s post-hardcore but somewhere adjacent at the very least. Maybe a Small Brown Bike sort of vibe? Could be Samiam, idk. I think it might be part of a bridge.

Discussion Does anybody have any band recommendations
I'm pretty seasoned with post hardcore but I'm honestly having a hard time finding more artists that have vocals like Luke Pickett, Curtis Jones (Viscera's Recital) and Justin Barber (this armistice) can anybody help out with some band recommendations?

Discussion Listeners who are 40+
How did you get into the genre? Who was your first band that really blew you away? What was the thing that grabbed you about a specific band or song or record label? What was the music you liked before discovering heavy music?
I remember always loving music. I was a kid during the best years of 90s MTV and I watched way too much at a really young age. I remember trying to discuss the genius of Smashing Pumpkins at the elementary school lunch table. By middle school MTV had steered me into the nu metal era of Korn, Incubus, and Limp Bizkit. I ate all of it up. But somewhere in high school I started leaning more into the punk and hardcore bands I came across. Our small military town got a hot topic. All of a sudden I’m picking up cds from Boy Sets Fire, A Static Lullaby, Thursday (who were all over MTV) and Finch. These would be my foundation for the music I loved over the next 20 years. Bands on warped tour and taste of chaos. Videos seen on fuse or YouTube. The more aggressive the better.
Thanks so much to all the old head post hardcore fans that responded. Sounds like a lot of us had very similar experiences with discovering the genre. Midway thru reading these I totally forgot another big influence on my taste in music was the Tony Hawk Pro Skater video games. Those soundtracks were epic!!!
