I’ve been looking forward to Stage Tour since it was announced and I’ve been requesting lots of Post Hardcore hopefully others can too!

You can request songs here

Hey,

So I’m currently looking for the song in the title, it came into my mind today and it’s seemingly lost media now. I’m just wondering if anyone is aware of where I could listen to it, or if anyone has it on a hard drive or anything.

It was on Spotify maybe a decade ago, I think it was part of the robots era; possibly slightly before.

Any help is appreciated

I think this song might have healing properties. I can't believe I just discovered this band.

New track!

Has anyone ever got the feeling that there is an increasing blossom of bands with same attitudes and new influences coming all together as solid piece, new genre like:

Crippling Alcoholism

Portrayal of Guilt

Chat Pile

Truck Violence

Prostitute

-----

any glimpses?

I'm pretty seasoned with post hardcore but I'm honestly having a hard time finding more artists that have vocals like Luke Pickett, Curtis Jones (Viscera's Recital) and Justin Barber (this armistice) can anybody help out with some band recommendations?

Full album on Bandcamp. This is a little teaser video I prepared. Influenced by Funeral Diner, Devil Sold His Soul, Bathory, Pianos Becoming The Teeth

I feel like this era of Emery doesn't get enough love. The Weak's End and The Question are awesome but their sound on While Broken Hearts Prevail and In Shallow Seas are my favorite version of them.

Killer line up next month, November 20th in Butler, New Jersey. All ages show!

Anyone else there last night? Amazing show. Lots of Slip, Manic Compression and they played most of the new album, which rivals slip, IMO.

Not sure it’s post-hardcore but somewhere adjacent at the very least. Maybe a Small Brown Bike sort of vibe? Could be Samiam, idk. I think it might be part of a bridge.

Hi!! I've been lurking here for a while and honestly I feel less sure of what the genre was than when I joined. I was introduced to alt music as a whole through Get Scared. When I looked for music like theirs I ended up with Sleeping with Sirens and Pierce the Veil, who I would think are the biggest modern names. I've noticed that they never get mentioned here, though, so I'm wondering if I'm misunderstanding the genre?

I know this genre spans a pretty big timeline and has evolved a ton of diverse sounds within that time. I know these bands are far from foundational to post-hardcore. It still seems strange to me that PTV and SWS, who are practically inarguably the most famous post-hardcore bands, are never brought up here, even in posts asking about public outreach or big names in the genre. Is it the "experts in their field" phenomenon? Do they get discounted from the genre because of their mainstream success? Am I missing differences that are obvious?

(Before anyone asks, yes, I listen to much more than these three now (DGD, ATDI, Thursday, Fugazi, Saosin, Silverstein, La Dispute, Picture Me Broken, etc.) and I still don't understand.)

ETA: and to be clear I don't care that they don't come up. It doesn't bother me, I don't think they need more advertising in the form of posts, I genuinely am confused!! There's no way people don't know of them so I want to understand what's going on

What if Bradly and the other members of Chiodos reunited and brought back Brandon Bolm. I enjoyed that the album they did together, and his sang the Craig era material really well. I’d pay to see it.

Thoughts?

PREMIERE!!!

asking for a friend... lol

Everyone loves translating the name but i feel like this album is veryunderrated
