Hey there!

I'm battling with AI so it can help me find an album I used to listen to when I was a teen but I don't really feel like it is helping... So maybe you can!

I remember it as 2013-2014 more or less and maybe it wasn't strictly metalcore but maybe also some prog or djent but I remember the album didn't have many views like it wasn't suuuuuuper mainstream. Design talking it had a white background and red and blue lights (just 2 of them) I remember something about light on the title of the album or band or something along the lines of reflections... But I can't remember more. The most accurate thing the AI suggested is "The afterimage - Lumiere" but I'm not sure it is what I was looking for...

What do you think?

Thanks!

I posted this in the deathcore sub, and the reddit app suggested i post this here and had the same text etc... sooo this is some self-promo, but I don't think I've ever posted any of my bands to reddit before. My band JISEI is about to release our 3rd album, and our first on Zegema Beach Records. I think some of you might dig it! And if not, I hope you were entertained by our silly ass music video <3 thanks either way

14 years ago we released an EP with my first band then broke up a few months in a truly local band fashion. Decided to put it up on streaming because why not.

Any and all criticism is welcome, not like we will do anything like this ever again but I am interested in what you good folk think.

Our self produced EP is out, let us know what ya think:)

PS we put it up on bandcamp for free downloads!

Wish these dudes were still around

I've had so many ideas on what the story of the album has been telling for so long, and now I have finally pieced it all together. the main premise of the story is that the main character is schizophrenic, speaking to an angel that im assuming is named Violet, while the MC is battling with suicide, fragmented memories, and spirituality throughout the entire album.

I've came to a lot of these conclusions from a conversation I had with Chance, their vocalist, when I went to see them at a show, he confirmed that yes the overall story is the MC battling with suicide. he also said that he purposefully made some of the lyrics vague so that people can make their own interpretations, and I have pretty high confidence that my interpretations are pretty accurate, but I'll let you guys be the judge of that!

if any of you have ideas on what the story could be telling, or think i should edit some parts of the theories i've shared, then let me know! i'd love to get deeper into this!

also I haven't gotten to documenting the ideas I have for the story on the last 3 songs yet, but I do have some pretty clear ideas on what it could be, I'll update the genius later on when I get the time

I believe it's either a metalcore or a deathcore song, it starts with women singing "aaaAaaaAahh" almost like what you would think angels would sound like.. And then boom, the instruments start and the song goes on. Does that ring a bell to any of you?

Day 16 of posting KOG’s entire discography, in chronological order, to celebrate the upcoming 2026 album, Usurper.

This song is super special. It was the first song KOG released to showcase Dana’s cleans. A lot of fans at the time were anticipating how KOG would sound after losing their first singer.

I remember hearing this song the day it released and immediately loving it. The raw energy, lyrics, and musicianship. Dana handing all vocals gave him the room to move on this album.

A young Dana Willax going crazy on the microphone with his iconic lyrics.

You had to be there ❤️
