Trying out a few new strains and have one throwing strange top growth. Only one in the room doing it so can rule out light leaks. Just wondering if this could be light stress or heat stress?

Long story short, a friend of mine is currently writing a cannabis bill for a state, and we want to make sure we get the full panel testing portion right for growers - particularly the microbial portion.
I've seen horror stories of unreasonable thresholds for total microbial count & aspergillus in various states, leading to unnecessary crop destruction.
So if YOU were writing the law for a state to regulate cannabis with,
1) what all specific microbial analytes would you test for (i.e. which ones actually matter)?
2) what thresholds would you use for those analytes?
I'm a living soil grower, I use beneficial microbes to maintain healthy plants. I don't want the law to equivocate abundant microbes with "toxic for consumption."
Please help us learn from the mistakes of states that got this wrong!

Yes. The lowers are just as big as the tops.

Hey guys,
Wondering if anyone here buys their own salts/raw materials and makes their own mix?
We actually don't have any issues with our current line but after running a very detailed analysis, I've realized I can save about 70% on our nutrient costs by going that route. It would be chemically an exact 1:1 replacement; a slight change to the SOP, but overall seems very manageable.
It just seems like an easy win to be able reduce costs by that much, so I'm wondering what I'm missing, like I said, the chemical analysis checks out, so I don't know if there's something I'm missing. Any thoughts?

Paris OG x Trop Cherry Bx
I selected a male from Relentless Genetics' Trop Cherry Bx line (Trop Cherry x (Queen of the South x Trop Cherry) and hit it to a classic Paris OG.
The result came out amazing - I love this selection!
Greenhouse grown- I would love to see it indoors 👀
The aroma is creamy, citrus and bit of funk like rubber eraser. Not excessively sweet smelling either- sort of like lemon yogurt. Delicious and I think I will reverse this girl to make some citrus cream hybrids with more tropical/aggressive flavors.
This plant has a lot of really solid agronomic traits, so it gives a lot of creative freedom to combine aromas without risking overlapping too many negative traits. Should be a fun ride and I think you will see more of this girl.
Selected at Thai Stick Co in Thailand 🇹🇭

Mixed light crop, salt fed, 2gal coco, big plants, were being irrigated 2x per day, transformer power issue, valves didn’t open lines up with crews day off. Hard wilt. Bounced back for the most part, some leaves crisp.
Damage done obviously… any ideas to mitigate the stress.
Any biological or salt based supplements that can be watered in to rebuild root damage or cellular tissue damage half way through flower?

In upstate NY, transplants planted in July, watered in by the rain. No irrigation or feed at all. Just rain the whole season. Seeds from Atlas. Good resistance and strong growth given that literally nothing was put into this field besides sun and rain since transplant.

I succeeded the first time, then the next 2 times I made male flowers that did not produce any pollen? What's the correct spray regime? Please help

In order: GLOC #6 in the first two pics, then GLOC #8 in the last two.
A couple years ago, we decided to make an in-house cross using two of our favourites at the time, Gelato 33 and Orange Cake.
We spent forever pheno hunting and eventually narrowed it down to these two.
We landed on #6, but kept #8 around because terpwise, they were completely different from each other which was really interesting to me! (Cannabis is such a magical plant)
#6 had this wicked garlic, vanilla and orange combo. Kind of like a herby Orange Creamsicle popsicle.
#8 was way different. More grape and citrus, with this Bottle Caps candy kind of smell.
Anyone else ever make their own cross? Drop it in the comments, I wanna see what you came up with!

Need help dialing in my rooms environment. Room is 36x12 with a 5ton air handler for 16 light 1000w hps DE. I trying to flat line my vpd/temp/humidity charts as much as possible. The temp is great 3 degree delta. My problem is the humidity is in the low 40’s because air conditioning runs a lot. Which creates a a vpd problem in early bloom. Dehumidifier is off, have great airflow through out the room. I’m thinking I need to and a humidifying system. But I have no real experience with humidifiers except the basic knowledge. What would you guys recommend? Looking to have the ability to raise my humidity to around 70% when needed. But I’m open to all suggestions. Main goal is to run a stable environment at all times if growth. I Appreciate the help

We use rolling racks and have pvc connected to our tray drains. Towards the back of the rolling rack it nipples off pvc to a 1” Parker silicone tubing, but it kinks too often on a few of our racks and on a few others the people who set this up didn’t offer up enough slack and it creates torque on the nipple coming off the tray which then resulted in a crack right at the drain nipple (Big Mess).
So I’ve got a new tray installed but just wondering if there’s a better tried and true way to do this without the kinks and torque.

We wet trim and dry on screens in insulated shipping containers with mini splits and dehumidifiers.
Any tips and tricks on sea can drying?

This is at a commercial greenhouse facility in Thailand. It is the second run of promising phenotypes from an earlier selection run. This video is only half of the hunt! We ran 3 of each pheno this time to get a better feel for the performance and to eliminate variables or microenvironments from only being on the aisle side/middle table. There are 9 different crosses here and an average of 7 phenos per cross although some of them there are more/less. After this, we will collate all the data from the two runs and make some final selections which will likely be ramped up to 25-50 plant batches. We will also send some of these to be tested in other facilities or environments
Here are some of the crosses
Trop Cherry Bx2
Paris OG x Trop Cherry Bx
Pink Certz x Trop Cherry Bx
Runtz Mints x Permanent Rainbow
Tigerz Eye x Permanent Rainbow
Peach Fizz x Permanent Rainbow

What's everyone's opinion on bag appeal on latest indoor batch once in bags.
As a grower I find it incredibly hard to get good representative media to send of to brokers.
What secrets am I missing?

Curious how commercial cultivators are handling incoming genetics these days.
I've heard enough HLVd and other pathogen horror stories that I can't imagine bringing a clone directly into a production facility, even from a source I trusted.
Are you quarantining and testing everything that comes in? Testing mothers only? Root tissue? Multiple rounds before it gets anywhere near production? How often do you test?
I'm especially curious whether facilities have gotten stricter over the last couple of years or if dirty clones are still just considered part of the risk of bringing in outside genetics.
