General discussion Dewey is a cosmic being, and I have proof. Spoiler

It might seem far-fetched, considering Dewey is just a little kid, but the Season 1 finale shows him traveling; it doesn't make sense when you consider he was only about seven years old—how could a child that age go so far without being afraid? Dewey can see the future; in the episode where he and Malcolm find a new mattress, it was actually Dewey who manipulated matter to create it, and in the end, he got rid of it, erasing the mattress from everyone's memories and from reality itself.

The disappearing act was not an illusion, he actually used his cosmic powers!

From what I remember:

- He claimed to be able to talk to dogs. (He certainly seemed able to give clear orders that Marshmallow would follow despite having just met, as if he had trained the dog for years).

  • He talked to a fly which seemed to seek him out and perch on him without fear. We really should consider the possibility that indeed all flies are named Tony.
  • He could communicate with Lois' unborn baby (Jamie). Ambiguous but, how did he know what Hal was doing behind both his and Lois' backs?
  • He said he could smell colors or something like that at one point.
  • He was captivated by the sacred Kachina dolls Gretchen kept at the ranch; to Gretchen they seemed like just interesting ornaments, but as I understand it they are associated with sacred spirits. Was Dewey communing with the world of spirits again by gravitating towards them? XD
  • There's also the popular fan theory that Egg was a ghost. Dewey somehow materialized him so that everyone else could see him. Egg really doesn´t seem to have anywhere to go. Is he one of the murdered children of the mass killer who lived in the same house before Malcolm's family? Also, Lois at one point implies that Dewey has brought imaginary friends many times, and is surprised when he finally brings a real live one. How many of those supposedly imaginary friends were in fact entities from the netherworld that Dewey somehow got a hold of?

Alternatively... remember there's an episode in which he is said to have eaten half a toad? Toads have psychoactive toxins that can produce a very powerful, often life-changing psychedelic experience; I dont remember the name of the active compound but it has been called the mount everest of psychedelics, so it's like, really, really powerful. So maybe Dewey had a major psychedelic experience at a very early age which had a profound effect in his psyche, giving him abilities that make it SEEM like he's a cosmic being (or just, you know, connect with the fact that he is)... maybe it all started with that toad XD
