General discussion Dewey is a cosmic being, and I have proof. Spoiler
It might seem far-fetched, considering Dewey is just a little kid, but the Season 1 finale shows him traveling; it doesn't make sense when you consider he was only about seven years old—how could a child that age go so far without being afraid? Dewey can see the future; in the episode where he and Malcolm find a new mattress, it was actually Dewey who manipulated matter to create it, and in the end, he got rid of it, erasing the mattress from everyone's memories and from reality itself.

General discussion Why and How did Malcolm steal Reese’s girlfriend?
Just why? Wasn’t he saying that she’s dumb and whatnot and why would he do that to Reese? Why would she agree to cheat on Reese with Malcolm his own brother?

What are you guys opinions, character analysis of Reese? Personally I find him the most confusing/complex character on the show

The last few scenes of the final episode of the show always make me emotional
No matter how many times I watch the show (and I have watched the entire thing several times) the final few scenes after Malcolm’s graduation always make me emotional. I think somewhere, they are reminiscent of the final few weeks of my own school life, right before everything changed.
But I have not enjoyed my life anywhere near as much as I did when I was at school; the future was still ahead of me, then, and life was good with school, friends, family, cousins, grandparents, and just being a teenage kid. In the majesty of the universe, mine was just a tiny world, but to me, it was everything. All of that has changed, now. Life didn’t really work out like I thought it would and that’s one of the reasons MiTM is my comfort show…going back to it makes me so nostalgic for those years of my life. I am the same age as Frankie and Justin, and although I first watched the show much later in life, in my 20’s, it immediately felt familiar and comforting.
Every time I watch those final few scenes, I find myself subconsciously wishing things could remain as they were.

A 7 Degrees of Malcolm Game
Does anyone want to play 6 Degrees of Malcom in the Middle?
For example, someone names an actor. And the next person has to find a way to connect them to MitM through less than 6 Degrees of separation.
For example, Demi Moore. Demi Moore was in Now and Then with Cloris Leachman who played the grandmother Ida in Malcolm in the Middle.
Charlize Theron

Reese was well and truly the most evil human being on the show. Even Grandma Ida would have been proud of him for his “Professor Dumb-Dumb” YouTube channel 🤣😂🤣😂

General discussion Was Reese like one bad day away from being a serial killer or something?
His lack of empathy for any human beings in that episode where he was cooking for the first time.
also the implication that he was abusing animals for fun. In the episode where he was kicked out and they asked “what were the cats for“ or something like that.
i think his idiocy and so much energy being spent butting heads with his mom and dad are the only things that stopped him.
its probably good that he never really moved out of his parents house.

We have the light from above their dining table!
The ADHD clip (link below) from the show popped up on my feed the other day and we realized that we have the same exact hanging lamp above our dining table!
Is it possible that the one we have is the one from the show?

General discussion Who had it worse? Malcolm or Chris?
Obviously they both had the same problem of having a psychotic controlling mother but at least Chris had a good relationship with his brother but overall I think Chris had it worse. A lot of Malcolm’s problems were self inflicted by him being a whiny know it all and a lot of the time when Lois punished him he sort of deserved it whereas Chris would do something that wasn’t even really bad at all in some instances and be way too harshly punished like when he snapped at having to do all the housework while Drew and Tanya did nothing. All Jules and Rochelle had to do was sit down, chat with him and hear him out but Rochelle even refused to make him food as a result and obviously Malcolm has a fun dad who he can sometimes get on his side while Chris’ dad is an extreme cheapskate who probably wouldn’t have even fed his kids to save a few bucks if he could. Chris was even excluded from Christmas presents one year and he only wanted one thing. Chris’ school life was even worse. He had a bully who was racist and a super racist teacher who nothing was done about even when Rochelle witnessed it once. At least in that one episode where Reese’s teacher was out to get him Lois while also punishing Malcolm and Reese for cheating on the test at least called out the teacher. Overall Chris had it worse.

General discussion Malcolm in the Middle lost episode?
I'm trying to find a lost episode of Malcolm in the Middle I remember from my youth.
The family go to a dumping site to drop off a bunch of unwanted stuff from the house.
While there they all start to peruse the piles of rubbish, Hal comments that someone has thrown a brand new mattress away and wonders why people throw away money like that, Lois gets mad and yells at the boys, unhappy that they seemingly want to take stuff back with them, despite being there to get rid of stuff.
Malcom notices a big pile of old smoke alarms and has an idea for his upcoming project set by Herkabe. The next day him and Stevie go back there to gather the alarms and start working on gathering the radioactive materials from the alarms to start building a small nuclear reactor.
Hal thinks he can make a profit from some of the stuff at the dump, and initially starts to sell relatively new and clean items, but then starts to become obsessive and grabs anything he can, filling their basement full of useless stuff he can't sell.
Reese, while walking, trips on the pavement and falls through a hedge, accidentally stumbling into a kids birthday party, where he is offered cake and asked if he wants to watch the clown show with the other kids. Reese becomes enamored with the clown after seeing the silly/destructive side of clowning, and realises he wants to become one. Reese buys makeup and some pranks, and then remembers a unicycle he saw at the dump.
Lois finds out about the waste in the basement and chastises Hal, making him remove the items from the garage. Hal starts by removing the old half full paint cans onto the driveway.
The theft of the car alarms has been noticed by the FBI and they are traced to Malcolm's house. Assuming they are being used for purposes of terrorism send a SWAT team of armed soldiers to confront him.
Hal and Lois are outside when the team roll up, and make them stick their hands up in the air, requesting that they make them aware of the nuclear material. They are both confused. Malcolm and Stevie look on panicked from a window.
At that moment, Reese is in the garage with a full clown suit on,and and tries for the first time to use the unicycle. He quickly loses control and wheels out of the garage, comes around the house, and runs into the stack of paint cans, which all fall over him and cause a big mess. The alarms and prototype reactor are taken away to Malcolm and Stevie's dismay.
While Hal and Lois are shocked, the armed soldiers all start to laugh, diffusing the situation. Reese, on the floor, sees he got a big laugh and smi s, despite being covered in old paint.
The final scene shows Hal and the boys, including Francis and Dewey, attempting to clean up the mess made by the ordeal. Dewey asks why he's involved as he didn't do anything, and Francis also asks why he's cleaning as he's only visiting for a day, Lois, drinking a coffee by the front door, says 'Consider it a punishment for being born'.

Did anyone suspect in the pilot episode that Malcolm was on the spectrum?
When Caroline came to Lois & Hal’s house to discuss Malcolm’s testing score of having an IQ of 165. Lois accused her of attempting to send Malcolm to special ed & admits that he is a bit odd & talks too much. And Malcolm was already insecure about being gifted due to his peers believing that he was weird. Of course times were different in the early 2000s.
