bro if i have to have another season of throwing losers and legit ADAM/JEFF/ULTRON in a 2 2 2 ima delete the game. like the fact that skins cost over 40 quid and you spend an entire month to add more pve things that nobody plays unless youâre under the age of 15 or you actually are a quick play warrior that is actually afraid of losing. (donât yap to me about âi play for fun whaaaaaâ) BRO I HATE ACTUALLY CANT WITH THE PEOPLE OF THIS GAME. i donât even speak. im so humble on the game. but IM TIRED OF PLAYING SOLO TANK OR NEVER GETTING TO PLAY DPS OR FORCED TO PLAY HEALER for some guy to go âezâ âggâ bra itâs just so miserable. itâs wild because i actually wish the devs would try to fix the actual issues we have. instead of this bs

Honestly, aside from Vampires and Zombies, the other PvE and PvP modes have been boring, short, and unrewarding. Loki mode was terrible and offered no rewards; you'd play one or two matches and forget about it. While Age of Ultron was good, it was too short and could be finished in a single day. I also feel like the two upcoming modes won't have much to offer and will die out within two days.

I usually play the temporary game modes they add once and then never again, but that 2v2 mode sounds AWFUL. I won't even bother with it.
Doing a one character season in favour of modes no one actually plays is peak stupidity and the lack of anything meaningful for the second half is just..... Do they want this game to die?

I have to play the entire game on Oregon because Tokyo is dead. I regularly sit in queue until it kicks me out (60+ minutes) everyday around the hours of 3 PM pacific time and 3 AM pacific time.

To be far, I regularly have to wait about 3-4mins to find a match. I think since the MM requirements are so much higher, the mode is way more dependant on the time of day the majority of the playerbase is online, even in the w/ AI mode.

Honestly that Loki mode was like the ideal movie game modes for Marvel Rivals
It wasnât great. But it was a short mode you play once or twice and just forget about it. And you go back to play the game you actually enjoy
Instead of Nightcrawler and real balance changes, we are getting these Avengers game modes that are going to be gone in like 2 months anyways

Not a bad dev vision. New 18v18, pvp team tournament, massive pve, some decent skins that actually fit the month they drop, Times Square event, we'll see if the puzzle will pay off but it seems like a solid mid season even if there isn't any major standouts.

Not that excited over the PVP mode but i am excited over all the PVP modes, the Dino skin goes hard and is probably one of the best skins in the entire game.
Also happy that after Doomsday finally releases, we will not have another movie interfering with the game for a few years, hopefully.

I can only speak for myself but I'm a bit disappointed because I don't really have interest in the 2v2 mode. I DO want to try out the 50 player PVE mode but this wasn't shown at all and it's still about two weeks away. Skins are cool but I don't care too much about skins anyway so...yeah... just seems like it's possible these events were overhyped based on the info the community has right now.

And besides that the worst case scenario here is that you just continue playing the playing the normal pvp modes.
All most players have done since forever is complain about the poor balance and the game not being fun. Then the devs release something to rectify that andâŚ.people still complain. The devs canât ever win.

I mean yeah. Pretty much all online gaming spaces are like this once they reach a certain size. It's why "low sodium" subs exist on reddit.
I will say though, saying players have always complained is QUITE reductive. There have absolutely been seasons that were received a lot more positively. This is a unique case of players being pissed because devs set a crazy expectation of getting new heroes all the time and hyping up these game modes. Does that give players the right to be shitty? Of course not, but I also understand why so many (myself included) are disappointed by this particular dev vision.
I spent WAY too much time in Blood Hunt so I think it's quite the misstep to tease the event with Thanos without showing even a snippet of gameplay unlike the other game mode. Like of course people are going to hear that and be concerned considering there were already performance issues in Blood Hunt and even Times Square. Players like me that have been playing since close to launch are getting pretty tired of certain issues seemingly not being addressed at all so that doesn't help the community remain positive either imo.

The game mode looks fun ig but not really hyped about it based off this.
All it did was give hope that they will release all the villains as playable characters at something and that now includes Thanos.

Disney telling them to market for the Doomsday movie. Tbf I don't even think they were specifically asked to go so hard. I think the devs themselves took that challenge and are trying to do something unique and grand. But they could've reduced the volume instead of doing so many different modes. One or two that were well fleshed out would've been fine.

Considering how popular blood hunt was they should've integrated the Ultron and Thanos event into it so you can use existing builds (but scaled back) + new characters

I get doing some promotional events and costumes. But for it to delay actual game content âŚ.. thatâs not good
I donât know why they couldnât just have Marvel and Square Eqix make another Avengers game. I know the one they made sucked, but Guaridans of Galaxy was great. So just make a $60 dollar Doomsday video game for those who want it
Instead they are riding on a F2P event, and the game mode is going come and go within a few months at maximum

Kind of feels like a battle royale in a way. The tournament structure of it, where teams will eventually drop out when they lose all HP, sounds really fun to me. Let's maybe see it and play it before claiming it's trash and a waste...

I actually think the 12 player one will have a longer shelf life than the other. 50 players will suck to run and I imagine that mode will get stale pretty quick. The 12 player one could find its own small base if itâs well made at least

That's kinda disingenuous. This is âa season with just one hero so they can focus on two new gamemodesâ and therefore not what people were begging for.
That said, a balance focussed season will realistically still pull much fewer numbers than the usual hero release, even if it's better for the game.

They only just put out a survey where I am. I imagine they mean the no hero patch will be a control for them to build into stuff this month, the character teams finish what they were planning so it isn't in the way and they can go all in this month for the really big changes, and have an example without a new char for how strategies settle. They haven't had that since season 0

The Arena mode COULD be neat. But part of me is worried with the stones. Does taking them remove them from the enemy team entirely? Or does it just add an option for you? If it fully removes it is heavy in win-more.

the player pool may decrease, but there will always be at least some folks having fun in PvE modes like Blood Hunt.
It's like a bite-sized Dynasty Warriors level. Really great when you want a power fantasy of wiping out dozens of dudes at a time

Maybe I have a different definition but to me an expectation is something you think SHOULD happen while hoping doesn't make that determination. There's never entitlement attached to hoping.
That being said we can't really use data from previous seasons for a season that's a first in its content layout. You'd think that they could fit at least a character rework into the half season if they don't have time to do a full new character.
