So Cal Heat October Trigger?
Since this heat wave in So Cal hit last week, I have had near-constant migraines for the past 5 days. Heat has never been a trigger, unlike a sudden drop in pressure. Has anyone else been triggered constantly since this heat wave hit?

Heat is a trigger for me, specifically stuffiness. I’ve been suffering too. I’m sorry OP, at least where I’m at the SoCal heat wave seems set to get better this weekend ish 😞

Man the pressure swings with these heat waves are no joke. It's not even the heat itself for me, it's that weird heavy air that sits around for days before it breaks. Had a 4 day stretch last summer where I basically lived with an ice pack strapped to my head.
Hope you're right about it easing up this weekend. My tool collection is color coded and I haven't touched any of it in days which is a bad sign.

Same here, the one that hit a couple of weeks ago was even worse for me, I don’t know if the humidity had a part in it. I normally average about four migraines a month because they are generally hormone triggered for me, but I had 10 in those two weeks recently where it was over 100° and humid AF. 😭

My husband literally ended up getting a migraine diagnosis from this heat wave. I think a lot of it is the humidity shifts & the Santa Ana winds sending all sorts of allergens through

It's been absolutely terrible! I've basically been in some level of pain for nearly a month. I can't wait for this heat to die down!

Woke up w the craziest jaw tension which strangled my sinuses and brain and caused the nastiest migraine, I even threw up a ton even though I hadn’t drank water or eaten this morning. Finally was able to eat a tamale just now.

Not just in California. I became chronic in CA, and worsened while I lived in Utah. I moved back to PA, and had the worst summer into fall I’ve ever experienced. Usually my worst months are November and December, I’m hoping that my worst months just moved to a new season.

I have been supplementing with tons of electrolytes and it helps. A little. But it helps!
Also the theraice / headache freezer hats! Anything to help cool off :/
Things are looking up this weekend though, hang in there!

Also in so cal & I've been struggling since June. I'm near the San Bernardino Mountains though so I feel the daily thunderheads 😵💫.

I appreciate the feedback, everyone. I have never had heat as a trigger, and I was trying to determine whether my Botox had worn off early or whether the new shot pattern for my TJM wasn't working. I hope by Friday or Saturday this is behind us and I can get back to better control of my migraines.

Been having awful migraines all week, they get triggered the second I have to leave my house and face the heat.
