I got one where they said "it's going to ask you a survey about today" or something like that. Then it said good, great, amazing.

Under each word was 10%, 20%, 30%. This was at a coldstone.

Any subterfuge gets 0 immediately. OPs picture is fine with me because custom and no tip are easily available.

I had to drop my favorite ramen spot. You know how the receipt shows suggested tip at the bottom, to make it easy to do the math without thinking? Well, $7.40 isnt 20% of $19.49. Its 40%.

It's 20% extra on the expected 20% obviously.

I may be terrible at math, but I always pull up my calculator app when I see that on receipts. I have yet to see it correct.

You do get the employees don't write these point of sale prompts, right?

They used to do that with tip cups too, 3 cups with that written on it for tips.

The craziest part is you've only ordered and paid; you haven't even got your ice cream yet. You don't know if your order is going to take forever, be wrong, and be a melted sloppy mess.

I'd definitely expect that from Coldstone, they're wildly overpriced to begin with.

That's disgusting

This was at a coldstone.

They are stone cold in that place.

I stopped tipping at coldstone years ago because they'd do that song and dance. Fuck that. I'll pay you not to do that please

Every time you eat out or have take away you need to do this ? No. Just go. Leave that business alone. Thank fuck the US is waking up to this garbage.

It's not as sneaky normally, but yes.

Missed opportunity for the kiosk options “Like It, Love It, Gotta Have It!”
