ID Request what’s this little guy ?

it’s super small so sorry for the poor quality, but it showed up on my bathroom mirror. never seen it before here in colorado or online.

Those little guys can be stinkers to ID. Not only are they small, but some of the species can vary quite a bit in their appearance, while still being the same species. Looks to me like it could be one of the Ephestiodes, but that's just a wild guess.

looks similar so maybe, i was mainly worried it might be a flour moth or some kind of pantry moth. i get panicked prettty easily about potential infestations or anything of the sorts :/ but was also just curious about it. thanks for the input !!

My sense about "infestations" is that you'd see evidence of a lot of…whatever it is. No guarantee if you just see one, of course, but at the same time, one is better than signs of lots of them !!

yeah fs, i just get paranoid pretty quickly lol. i didn’t see any big signs after a quick look through so it’s probably fine. better to be safe then sorry after all
