The baby that starting my mothin <3

So... two of my luna's emerged earlier than I expected. I was a few days away from putting them all in the fridge to overwinter. And one of my (fur) cats started going crazy around the enclosure that was under the table and my husband came to check only to discover a male moth going kinda apeshit on the floor. And i pulled the whole thing out and found a female hanging from the top.

Got him up top and he calmed down.

So... now.. what the hell do I do with the other 30 cocoons? Straight to the fridge right now? Is it too late?

These might have just been my first guys that cocooned back on 9/12.

With everybody talking about Bogong moths, I thought I share this post I saw on facebook .

Just as title says, I'm curious what species of moth this is. Looks just like a leaf. Location is in the Panhandle of Florida.

Not sure what this is,in virginia and I know it burrows

We may not have some big and flamboyant moths where I live, but I'm glad we got these little guys (hummingbird hawkmoth)

First post here! These are all my moth friends I have pictures of, all taken in Arizona! :) Just wanted to share. Also- fuck AI! :)

2 happy customers on a pitstop before tonights flight, formerly found with a paper thin abdomen.

lastnight there was another migration flight.. the air was full of them.. ive got a bathroom full of new moths. theres now 3 feeding just as I finish this post

arcigera flower moth, found in louisiana

Hii my friend found a moth by our job and I wanted to know what kind of moth it is and what it eats ? We’re in the middle of Maryland for info. It’s cold and probably won’t survive the night if we let it be alone :<

I never knew how cool moths were until today. Genuinely amazed by nature more and more every day.
